10.01.2022 2 YEARS Today marks 2 years since New Movement 24 Hour Fitness opened its doors and bloody hell what a ride it has been. Flooded 3 times , forced to close then to open back up and then to close again. It has been an eventful start to running a business to say the least. More people tried to talk me out of opening a gym then pushed me to chase my dreams. But anyone close to me will no that once I get an idea or vision in my head I will not stop until it becomes a reality. B...eing forced to close again will just be a bump in the very long road ahead. We have both poured our heart ,soul and alot of money into this place and dont intend to stop anytime soon. Special thanks to Brittany Kate. It was not her dream to open a gym but she has adopted my dream and supported me right from the beginning and now has started working on her own dreams. Id also like to thank all my family and friends that have helped and supported us along the way. If its one thing I have realised it is that people are willing to help you. All you have to do is ask. Instead of doing our normal options for our Challenge we decided to add a FREE option for those that have lost there job, have lost income or under financial stress or simply want a taste of how we do things at New Movement We created the group ... New Movement Online Community (search to join!) The group is about learning healthy sustainable habbits to use for life. Think Exercising everyday is unsustainable? It doesnt have to be an hour it doesnt even have to be 10 minutes it can be 5 minutes. It doesnt have to be weights training, it doesnt have to be running. Walking, sport, mobility, yoga, rehab Exercises. Its all still Exercise its all contributing to your health. Something is ALWAYS better then nothing! I received this message from a person in our community group 14 days into our challenge As the last few months have been tough this message came at a time when I needed it the most. Its these things that confirm to me I am in the industry for the right reasons and have a passion for helping people. Fast forward 4-5 weeks and here we are I have now filmed around 50+ videos including home workouts, instructional videos and even a 2 hour video interview with Jake from @prdnationwideballarat on our small business. Equipment must be returned by Sunday June 21ST at the absolute latest If equipment is not returned by date above you will continue to be charged rental fee Enjoy a sneak peak of our new look gym We have had a few people ask how we will operate with restrictions in place. We are still fine tuning how everything will look but being a smaller facility with capped membership will benefit us and we will not be going with a booking system at this stage however you may have to book in for peak time in the PM as this is the most likely time we may max out! The only reason to remove the mask is if you are training at a high intensity (must keep the mask on you) We will be closed from 8pm Wednesday night All payments will be paused for the lockdown period ... PT sessions will continue outdoors (2 person max) Online training options are available from $9.95pw Equipment rental will be available but PT & Group fitness members continuing there training will have first preference. 08.01.2022 RE-OPEN Monday June 22nd 5am Please share & tag friends who are New Movement members to help is get information out Please read information below. 1 You must sign in and out. There will be a sign in/out station in the front office and it is mandatory to sign in when you arrive (even outside of staffed hours) and also hand sanitize before you enter the gym.... 2No towel No Train. You must bring a towel to use. We have a limited number available for purchase at the front desk for $5. If you do not bring a towel you will not be allowed to enter the gym. 3Max capacity is 20 & Max training time is 1 hour. Especially during peak times please abide by this. 4Members only No casual sessions will be available until next stage of restrictions 5Bring your own water bottle. No sharing water bottles or re filling from water fountains 6 Cleaning. Must use hand sanitizer on entry, must use a towel as stated above, Must keep 1.5m from fellow members at all times, must clean equipment after use with spray and wipe or disinfectant wipes provided on cleaning stations through out the gym. The gym will also be cleaned 2-3 times daily by staff and professionally cleaned every couple of days. 7Kids area will be restricted to 2 at a time in the designated area. Kids must also be signed in at entry time and counted in the 20 person maximum. Kids may come in a pram. Kids will not be permitted in the gym during peak times (5:30pm-7:30pm) 8Group fitness will enter via the bank door as they are already tracked through booking system and do not need to sign in. Other information: No booking required other then group fitness(subject to revision), 24/7 access available with number monitoring. To avoid disappointment try to schedule your workout outside peak hours as there will be a limit of 10 people using the gym while group fitness is on. 08.01.2022 MOTIVATION MONDAY If you have followed me on social media you would no that over 12 months ago I started an exercise Challenge. The Challenge was to see how many days in a row I could do some sort of exercise from as little 10-15minute walk, stretching, mobility to 2 hours weights sessions. Doesnt matter as long as I Exercise each day. Although I have not posted this is social media for a long time I have still kept the Challenge going. I am now up to DAY 435 Todays w...orkout Back &Biceps Seated row 10 reps x 10 sets Alternating bicep curls 10 reps x 10 sets As the people in the New Movement Online Community group are learning it is all about setting good sustainable habbits.
