25.01.2022 New Norfolk Redcaps player Chance getting some coaching tips off Brett Geeves. I heard Chance represented the club very well, learning some new skills and proudly wearing his club colours. Chance is a ripping young fella and we are so glad to have him playing for our Redcaps side. Great job Chang!!

25.01.2022 MARGIN TICKET UPDATE Well done to Mark Horne, who won the last margin ticket for the regular season. Due to the shorter season, the margin tickets will still be running through the finals series. For every Friday game, the margin tickets will count. 20.01.2022 TRAINING UPDATE FOR JUNIORS U13’s There will be NO training this Tuesday for the U13’s. As I said yesterday, with School Holidays on, I’ve decided to call off training to give people (including myself) the chance to go away before school starts up again.... We will return to normal on Tuesday the 13th of October and it’ll be all systems go until Christmas. U15’s For those players that have been asked or are having doubts in regards to playing U15’s, Justin has kindly offered to take training from 4.30 onwards on Tuesday the 6th of October. This session will be OPTIONAL and will be a Nets session (batting and bowling) so if you’re an U15’s player, feel free to come along! SHIRTS and PANTS I want to order these ASAP and after speaking to Jamie, ordering samples to try on will take the ordering process back. The best I can offer is: Shirts start from size 4 in kids and go up to Men’s sides. Pants start from Size 8 and if you need to see an example of pants sizes, KMart is the best place to go to get an idea of how the white pants fit. For U13’s players, feel free to buy the white pants from KMart too as that’s what we will wear. I hope that makes sense to everyone. I’ve been working on creating three teams for this season and numbers are looking promising! I’ll see everyone in two weeks and I’m looking forward to the season starting soon.

09.01.2022 This is what cricket is all about! U13’s Redcaps player Frankie Jones played against two of his mates from Sorell today, Van and Rex Johnson. All boys were able to share their gear, hit each other for 4 and Frankie even managed to get Van out! All of this was done with big smiles on their faces. Frankie’s Mum summed it up best; They might’ve been in opposing teams today but they were in the same colours, literally and metaphorically!... This is why we play cricket.

08.01.2022 Another week, another milestone! This week it is U15’s Captain Tom Murray, who scored the first ever 100 in his career. He finished on 121NO, striking 18 fours and 5 sixes. Coming in with the score at 2-0, Tom and Tyler Benson put on a 178 run partnership before Tyler retired Not Out on 75. The Redcaps ended up chasing 229 off 26.1 overs, giving them another win in a row! Awesome work Tom and the U15’s boys!
