22.01.2022 The Newry Hall AGM was held earlier this month and while we are happy to be continuing on with a strong and committed committee, we are also sad to accept the resignation of Kate Mirams from the committee. Kate for the last 5 years has held the position of secretary/treasurer, which are, on their own huge jobs individually. Kate’s attention to detail ensured that every project and grant was completed to the exact cent and ensured the returns from the funding and community financial contributions were optimised. Kate’s tireless efforts and commitment to our hall has been key to adding great comfort and functionality to our cherished community facility. We all wish to publicly thank you and your family for all your work and look forward to sharing many more events and memories at the hall together!

21.01.2022 We are very excited for the term ahead here at the hall with so much happening there is almost something for everyone. Monday morning Playgroup 10-12 for all ages kids and parents/guardians welcome. Tuesday afternoons the Briagolong dance school have lessons, see previous post for more details. 22nd March is restorative yoga at the hall, see previous post for details. A wedding and some expressions of interest around regular Pilates and or yoga that we a keen to know if t...here is interest in. Meetings being held in the library. Your Hall really is a great resource for all sorts of wonderful things and if you think there is something more you want to see on at the hall or use the hall yourself please let us know we want to see our beautiful hall used to its full potential plus more See more

17.01.2022 At our AGM, Alexis Killoran stepped forward to take on the role of Secretary and Nick Cartledge has stepped forward to take the role of Treasurer. Mark Humphris and Donna Woerz remain as President and Vice President and Leanne Huffer has done a wonderful job in her position as Bookings Manager. We would also like to publicly thank Kev Hanson, Katherine Snell, Kris Bradley and Andrew Lancey for their ideas, efforts and support on the committee! We are all busy but enjoy coming... together to talk about things outside of our own work and family for the benefit of the community. We are also thrilled to welcome Hope Bravada onto the committee. Hope lives locally and has enjoyed the Pilates classes at the hall before COVID restrictions took place. Although their can’t be any events at the hall, we are using this time to do some strategic and business planning so we will hopefully be in touch with many of you soon to seek your input and ideas and the hall.
