21.01.2022 I am seeing a lot of information about banks/lenders hardship assistance, that is simply not true or misinterpreted. Please be aware of all the facts before making such a big decision. Banks/Lenders are businesses, only go into a hardship arrangement if absolutely necessary, you are NOT getting 3 or 6 months free repayments by entering into a hardship arrangement. The repayments that are put on hold will need to be paid back. In most cases the unpaid amount will be amortiz...ed over the balance of your loan term, which will increase your repayments after the hardship period has come to fruition. (Some lenders are extending the term of your loan so that your loan repayments do not increase after your hardship arangement). When putting payments on hold you are being charged interest on interest, thus increasing your overall loan amount. (Some lenders are refunding the compounded interest). Your credit file is important and although the ABA have ensured that a hardship arrangement will not affect your credit file, which is great news, we do but know at this time how it will impact your ability to borrow or refinance after the hardship arrangement has expired. Most lenders are offering up to 6 months assistance. Some 3 months, with a further 3 months after review, others a straight 6 months . Please don't hesitate to call me to discuss your lender policy in relation to hardship and the overall implications this may have. Nexhome Finance is here to help!

The word tax came from the Latin word taxo which means I estimate.... Governments have been imposing taxes for thousands of years. There are recordings of tax payments made in ancient Mesopotamia circa 2500 B.C. Violent Chicago mobster Al Capone famously got caught on tax evasion charges. Other mobsters, including Als brother Ralph Bottles Capone, Frank Nitti, and Jake Greasy Thumb Guzik, were also charged. Beards are back in vogue, but there were times when having a beard was costly. During the 16th century, King Henry VIII imposed a tax on beards that increased with the wearers social status. Talk about taxes ability to darken a day in 1696, a window tax was introduced in England and Wales. It was assessed as a flat property tax plus a tax based on the number of windows a home had. From 1784 to 1811, the British government taxed hats based on price. A stamp was pasted inside the hat, and anyone caught with a stamp-less hat had to pay a fine. At least one stamp forger was sentenced to the harshest penalty: death. The most famous protest of taxation by the American colonies was the Boston Tea Party. On December 16, 1773. The Australian Federal Budget is prepared by the Treasurer and presented to parliament. The Parliament decides on the levels of tax not the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
