16.01.2022 Today it was such a beautiful day and now we can have combined playgroup again, we caught up with our pals at Geoff's Place to go hang at the park. We all had ...so much fun kicking the footy, hanging out in the monkey tree and using the playground; no one wanted to head home at lunchtime. Our Kindy crew were all talking on the walk home and they all can't wait for Geoff's Kindy to get finished soon so we can hang out together ALL the time. Thankfully there is not too much longer to wait now.... Early Years Learning Framework: OUTCOME 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world. - Children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation. and National Quality Framework: STANDARD 5.1 RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN EDUCATORS AND CHILDREN - RESPECTFUL AND EQUITABLE RELATIONSHIPS ARE MAINTAINED WITH EACH CHILD. How Standard 5.1 contributes to quality education and care - When children experience nurturing and respectful reciprocal relationships with educators, they develop an understanding of themselves as competent, capable and respected. Consistent emotional support contributes to children developing a strong sense of wellbeing and belonging. Relationships are the foundation for the construction of identity, and help shape children’s thinking about who they are, how they belong and what influences them (Early Years Learning Framework, p. 20; Framework for School Age Care, p. 19). 14.01.2022 SOUND ON Timber Tots Child Care Owner and Director Jana Walker sheds some more light on the devastating impacts of Scott Morrison (ScoMo) and Dan Tehan MP's ill-informed child care stimulus. We hope this helps all families understand that 'free child care' isn't really free
