24.01.2022 Dear NGCNA Netball Community Due to the Government advice today at 2.30pm 13/3/2020: NGCNA have made the decision to Cancel all NGCNA netball this weekend. ... Whilst this request commences on Monday, NGCNA has approximately 2500 members, it is our duty of care to ensure all of our community stays safe at this time. We will update later in the week in regard to the following scheduled grading games, and when they are going to proceed.

23.01.2022 The Nissan State Age Event is having issues with capacity. WE ALL MUST ABIDE BY THE COVID PLAN & HEALTH DEPARTMENT RULES OR THE EVENT WILL STOP. Parents have been outside the venue, unable to enter due to capacity being met, while other families have 7 people inside.... ONLY TWO SPECTATORS PER PLAYER AROUND THE COURT- PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE INTO THE VENUE IF ANYONE IS FOUND NOT TO BE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS FROM A VOLUNTEER THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE A game was brought to a halt due to too many spectators on the side lines. This stopped all courts/ games- the timer does not stop. Please play by the rules.

Travelled internationally Travelled to a Covid declared hotspot With recently reported positive COVID-19 cases confirmed in Queensland, please note the advice below and ensure all members are aware of these developments. Individuals who have been in close contact with a confirmed positive COVID case will be issued with quarantine directions by the Public Health Unit which will require them to isolate for 14 days. The Public Health Unit may be requesting contact tracing information from organisations today which must be provided within 1 hour of the request. 05.01.2022 Good morning NGCNA Rep players and parents, This year’s State Age event will be very different to previous events especially around how we participate as players and spectators. The decisions we have made and will make this year are particularly affected by the restrictions we are all working under. In particular decisions that need to be made when players are injured are not easy as they affect not only the injured player but the immediate team and other teams that replaceme...nt players are drawn from. The timing and severity of the injury will influence how this is managed and we will always give every player the opportunity to play. Throughout this campaign we have seen players move between teams to cover for player withdrawals which has provided opportunity for some and disappointment for others. This week is about minimising disruption to any team where possible and finding solutions that are right for this moment. If you would like to discuss any concerns around potential player movement, please contact either myself or Matt directly. If a decision needs to be made it will be for the benefit of the player, team and Association and this decision will come from the Executive Committee. 04.01.2022 UPDATE ON QPL COMPETITION Netball Queensland have advised they will no longer be managing a QPL competition. This creates an opportunity for NGCNA, neighboring associations and regions to come together and introduce a professional and competitive competition.... NGCNA will ensure opportunities are still open to offer our current QPL players a representative pathway. A committee for a new competition will be formed early in the New Year so watch this space for further updates. Merry Christmas to all NGCNA
