18.01.2022 I had an enjoyable morning playing with my new Sure Foot pads on my own horses. Safe to say they responded really well for their first time, nice and relaxed Looking forward to seeing how these can help horses in the future especially those recovering from injuries and those challenged with conformation & postural issues #equinebodywork #surefootpads #rehabilitation #proprioception #posturecorrection #balance #horsesofinstagram #relaxation #performancehorse @ Somersby, New South Wales

16.01.2022 I too often get asked about saddles leaving sweat/dry patches and if it’s associated with poor Saddlefit, so I’m sharing this advice from CMF Saddle Fit which gives a great explanation
13.01.2022 A great throwback to my painted horse demonstration at the 2016 WA State Dressage Championships In this demo I showcased the middle layer on the near side, as shown in these pictures and the superficial layer on the offside. 13.01.2022 It was great to be competing again on the weekend after 7 months off due to Covid restrictions in NSW After analysing my rounds I thought I’d take the time to show you just how much pressure we place on our equine athletes in our chosen sports. In the slow motion parts of the video you will see the amount of pressure placed on the hooves, legs, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles during takeoff and landing. In addition the flexion and extension required throughout the w...hole body of the horse as it launches into the air and lands, especially the shoulders, spine and pelvis - these creatures are truely amazing It’s crucial the equine athlete is appropriately conditioned for their chosen sport to minimise the risk of injury. Post recovery management is equally important. For example ice boots, poulticing and stretching. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be showcasing some post recovery tips that I perform on my horses to keep them supple and feeling their best after training and competition. 02.01.2022 Equine Muscles in Motion This is the first of my new ‘Equine Muscles in Motion’ series. I’m looking forward to showcasing a range of horse paintings that represent how the horses muscles function while performing conditioning exercises and specific horse sports. To kick off the series here is a great example of the Superficial Muscle Layer and how the muscles function during pole work. @siankirralee @schnards_g . .... . #ngequineservices #paintedhorse #musclesinmotion #equinemechanics #equineconditioning #equinebodywork #equineathlete #sporthorses #horsesports See more
