20.01.2022 Do early birds really catch the worm? I have been a morning person for many years, so I would like to think my early starts count for something. What do you think? Are morning people more productive than late starters, who also work late?

15.01.2022 Are you emailing your clients the right way? Every time you open your inbox these days there's "spam, spam, spam, spam, spammety spam" (little Monty Python reference there). Of course, I'm not talking about tinned ham. I'm talking about unwanted emails. ... Stop it! You're hurting your business by adding everyone you know to your emails. Why? Because people didn't ask for unsolicited emails , so they mark them as spam or trash them . Then, their email provider or antivirus software automatically trashes future emails from you, so most of your list probably never even see your email. A better way is to use email marketing software like Mailchimp or Hubspot and then provide an opt in form on your website. Plus, you connect your bookings, enquiry forms and shopping cart, so everyone who does business with you can opt in to your email. If you're having trouble getting people to opt in, perhaps try and incentive, like a subscriber's discount or freebie.
07.01.2022 Do you work alone? Freelancers and Sole Proprietors often focus on the new sale but have no idea where the next sale is coming from. High involvement decisions, such as those your clients will need to make if your product is a high price or a big commitment, will likely take more than one call or visit. ... Start as many conversations as you can, so you have a steady pipeline of opportunities and you're not starting fresh every month. Do you have a system you use to manage your sales pipeline? If so, we'd love you to tell us about it on the comments below.
06.01.2022 Somewhere, somehow, the question changed from, "What will you be?", to, "What will you do?" We need to go back https://buff.ly/32GxEBi
04.01.2022 Freelancers: Did you know that popular freelance platforms can keep up to 20 percent of your profits? Wouldn't it be nice if you could tell them to keep their hands out of the cookie jar, so you can keep what you earn? Well, maybe you can.
03.01.2022 Opportunity NEVER knocks. Times are tough... but don't give up just yet. What are you really good at? And what do you love to do? Think harder, it's something... maybe not something you have done as a job yet. If you don't know what your strengths are, ask your friends. Then, ask yourself: Will people pay me to do it? ... Will they pay me to see it? Are they likely to pay me to hear it? Is it worth something to people who don't have it? Can I teach it for money? Can I use it to make a product? Is there a service I can provide? Am I likely to attract a following online? Would someone pay me to advertise to my followers? Are my followers likely to subscribe? Could I start it as a side hustle? You see, it's easy to miss what's right in front of us. Difficult to see our own value because we take it for granted. You have a unique set of knowledge, skills and abilities. You are more valuable than you know.
02.01.2022 Elaine Pofeldt wrote "The Million Dollar One Person Business". She studied a handful of self-made millionaires and what they've done to achieve what they have. She found these new millionaires embraced technology to automate routine and mundane tasks. Has your website become just another chore or does it do some of the heavy lifting for you? What can you automate today, so you can invest more time in what you love to do?

01.01.2022 Built it and they will come. OR will THEY? Some people spend thousands of dollars on a website BUT they forget about the marketing. Quality product and great user experience are important -but if no one can ever buy your product or service it's irrelevant. We're not just talking about likes and shares... because it is possible to get thousands of those, without a single paying client.... Here's the trick. Every business is different and customers are at different stages in the purchase cycle. Some don't need what you have. Most business owners cringe when I tell them that because they think everyone needs what they have. You need to be reaching the right people, at the right time, in the right way. Are you doing that?
