24.01.2022 Repair Job for Mum. Was meant to be a removal and re-cladding of western wall. However after removing some of the worse weatherboards we discovered that the studwork framing was nonexistent thanks to the work of native bora, New Zealand termites and water damage over 40 odd years. The job then because total rebuild of lower story wall, replacement of window, insulation, weather proofing, re-cladding and painting. Unfortunately we were unable to save any of the old weather boards to reuse. Has given the western wall a new lease on life. No evidence of bora damage was found in other walls.
