To avoid being consumed by the weight of uncertainty and unknowing its important you set your radar to find things that light you up and bring you feelings of love. Treat yourself - have a massage or bubble bath or take yourself out on a date. ... Take time out for you & rest - have a nap, a big sleep in or an early night or make no plans this weekend. Write a love letter to yourself telling you all the ways you love & appreciate yourself. Eat something fresh & healthy or get out in nature & breathe. Say no to something that doesnt light you up or bring you joy. Move your body. 22.01.2022 I have been in full declutter mode at home the past couple weeks. It feels so good to let go of stuff that I've literally been moving from house to house for years. I look at what I've been getting rid of and once upon a time I know those things meant something to me or felt important. The thought of letting go of them seemed too hard, so I just saved that decision for another day. In reality, I had just attached importance or relevance to the stuff. In the process, I've ...realised that without the item, I can still have the memories. I can still think back on that time of my life fondly or remember a person that may no longer be in my life for whatever reason. I don't need to find somewhere to store something that's actually better stored in my mind or heart or perhaps, even let go of altogether! 22.01.2022 While its impossible to predict the future at anytime, let alone right now, what you can do is take positive action steps towards a future that you would like to create! If youd like to feel more peace, clarity and calm - begin a daily journalling and meditation practice. If youd like to feel more happiness and joy in your life - write a list of things you love to do and commit to doing at least one of those things a day. If you want to be a fitter, healthier you... - commit to moving your body daily and eating a healthy and balanced diet mindfully. A lot of us are being gifted this incredible opportunity to create our new normal by setting up new habits and getting clear on what we want more of, and less of, in our lives. Set some small and achievable goals for yourself, write down the steps needed to achieve them and get a really clear picture of what achieving that goal will look like, feel like, sound like and even what it will taste and smell like. Unfortunately in school we get a lot of limitations put on us - you cant do that, youre not very good at that, youll never be able to do that...the list goes on! But what if none of that actually mattered...cos it doesnt! What if you were actually capable of being or doing anything? How would your life look different?... 20.01.2022 Thank goodness that with age comes wisdom! When I was younger, I would get so frustrated that I couldn't change people or that they wouldn't react in the way that I'd anticipated they would...particularly in relationships. Why didn't they act like this? This isn't how I saw it playing out in my head! Why did they say that? I wanted them to respond differently! Why do they keep doing that? They're meant to do this!... It caused me SO MUCH unnecessary angst! I'd created expectations on how I wanted a situation to play out and when it didn't go that way, I felt let down and disappointed by the other person. It made me question my own worth...that I wasn't good enough to be treated well. When actually, I'd created the whole drama and how it did or didn't play out in my head! It was all a fabrication that I bought into, ending it with putting myself down! It seems completely insane when I think back. What I didn't understand then, but am so much more aware of now, is that it was actually me that had to change - not them. Starting with: not putting expectations on others avoiding "mind reading" a person or an outcome by going into it in the present moment and, being true to my values and myself, while allowing for flexibility and openness to change...if it feels right. 16.01.2022 Today is #LoveYourPetDay (thanks Scribe and Social Sonia!) - not that I dont wake up every single day full of endless love and immense gratitude for my ray of sunshine! You see, I would go so far as to say this little rescue pup saved my life when I adopted her as a puppy 6 years ago. I was in a pretty dark and unhappy place. I was lonely and miserable, I felt like the world was against me and I was drinking waaaay too much just to numb the pain and fill all the emp...tiness I felt inside. Lola helped my hurting heart start to heal and learn to feel love again. She gave me a reason to be, and walking and feeding her everyday gave me a purpose. You see what Ive just learnt that I didnt know back then was that my number 1 value is connection. Lola coming into my life gave me the connection and companionship that I was so desperately craving. Im telling you this because I want you to know that if youre feeling like I used to, there is hope. I can help you learn to truly love your life and find meaning and purpose in so many ways. Im not saying you have to rescue a dog (well actually, I think everyone should but thats for another day...) but Im telling you to reach out. 16.01.2022 Right here in this little square are 4 of my favourite things in the whole world...my pup Lola, the beach, a gorgeous sunset and my ear holes and mind being filled with knowledge and information that tests and expands me. I arrived at the beach this arvo feeling a bit down, but after spending a couple hours there, walking and soaking up the sun, my cup is full! I left when the sun had set with tears of gratitude for everything thats good in my life and the world. Id love to know how youve filled your cup so far this weekend?
15.01.2022 Are you brave enough to look within to find your truth? This quote feels like it has so much more weight right now, don't you think? You can look at all the different versions of "truth" that are flying around at the moment - the false truths, maybe truths, expert opinions, conspiracy theories...the list goes on. It can be pretty overwhelming trying to decipher or discern! Last week I just wanted to switch off the world's noise and not listen to what anyon...e had to say about anything. I was feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated and overloaded. I needed some time out to sit in the quiet to find truth...or at least what feels most true for me! Yes, it was uncomfortable at times and there were lots of tears as I questioned myself and my beliefs, deeper and deeper, but there were also times of comfort, strength and reassurance. Do I have all the answers now? Um, no - definitely not! But I do have more peace, and I'm feeling a lot more resilient. No matter what, what is that: 1. we only have this moment and 2. change is inevitable. And all we can really do is mentally prepare for, then adapt to those changes with as much ease, grace and kindness to ourselves as possible! How are you coping with change or your truth right now? 14.01.2022 Six years ago today, this little angel entered my world as a 14 week old rescue pup and completely turned it around. I was lonely, not very happy with my life, and in a pretty dark and miserable place mentally when I met her. I was actually more interested in another puppy, but the foster carer suggested she bring both that one and another one. I agreed, then later decided I wasn’t interested in the other one but got sidetracked so didn’t get around to telling her to just bri...ng the one. Thank goodness I didn’t cos as soon as I met Lola, it was love. Though she was the one I didn’t think I wanted, she ran straight up to me, jumped into my arms and showered me with licks while the other one showed no interest in me, nor me in her. Lola picked me that day, and my heart gave me no other choice than to let her. So thank you Lola for rescuing me, for loving me and for changing my life for the better in more ways than I can count!
13.01.2022 It always amazes me how much quitting smoking can literally change a persons life. This quote came from a client I helped become a non-smoker a couple weeks ago. I quit smoking myself by reading Alan Carrs Easy Way to Quit Smoking. In the book he talks about a lady who had just one cigarette a day. You might say she wasnt really a smoker, least of all addicted, however she let this single cigarette rule her whole life. From the moment she woke up, all she woul...d think about was being able to have that smoke at the end of the day. After she had it, shed be tortured by the fact that shed have to wait another 24 hours until she could have another one. Kind of like my client. Every single day she would put off doing things she loved because she didnt want evidence of how unfit and unhealthy smoking had made her. She only smoked between 5-10 a day but they controlled her life. After our session, she was full of dreams and excitement for her future in a way she hadnt been for a long time. She felt like had control of her life again...not the cigarettes. If you or someone you know is in the same trap, there is a way out! 13.01.2022 How awesome are our pets? Feeling oh so grateful for having this little lady in my life more than ever! Lolas my favourite distraction right now and Im really enjoying spending more time being present with and having fun playing with her. Like me, I do believe shes feeling the shifting energy in some way cos shes been sleeping a LOT and is my constant shadow and quite nervous, or maybe shes just responding to the energy Im putting out. ... That aside, shes keeping me very grounded with her joy and playfulness. Shes even quietly tolerating my smothering as I take my human connection and hug withdrawals out on her. 11.01.2022 I've been talking to a few people lately who are finding it hard to find balance in their life right now. Routine's have been turned upside down, lots of kids are still home instead of at school, work hours have reduced, disappeared altogether or perhaps increased, and normal day-to-day activities have been taken away or changed. Now is a perfect opportunity to create aspects of a new normal you want to have in your life, and cultivate new habits you'd like to keep... up once restrictions have lifted. Routines and habits where you spend more time doing the things you love to do, connecting with people you usually don't have time to connect with and letting go of whatever feels like it doesnt align anymore. For me, it looks like commitment to my morning practice which includes meditation, movement and journalling. Getting out in nature with my dog. Spending a few hours a day on my business or with clients. Allowing time for creativity, connecting with a friend or family member, eating healthy and dedicating time to personal development. If I can focus on achieving those things, my day feels balanced and whatever else that happens just happens in and around that. 10.01.2022 Eeep!! I just finished being interviewed by the lovely Joanne at Better Being Me for her podcast and it was so much fun!!! Did I feel like it was going to be fun this morning? Um, no! I was so nervous I couldnt eat my breakfast. But I did some tapping, and worked through all the feelings that were coming up until I was telling myself how I wanted it to go and feel. One of the things that helped me turn it around was starting a daily meditation practice. Being in the present moment rather than wallowing in the past or fearing the future has made such a difference to how much time my monkey mind spends worrying. One of the many things Ive learnt over the past few months is that Ive been holding myself back from stepping into my full potential - out of fear, because its fricken scary and pretty uncomfortable growing and stepping up and because I doubted myself. 09.01.2022 This is a question Ive been pondering on a lot lately so I thought Id share it! With so much going on in our external world, its only natural that things get shaken up internally too. There are so many people I talk to lately questioning every aspect of their life - who and what they are, what theyre doing, what they want to become etc. And for me, and many others, it comes down to belief. ... How much belief in yourself do you need to make that big change? To do that thing youve always wanted to do? To be or show a side of yourself you never have? To do something you know in your heart you have to do (but are quietly terrified about or doubting it!)? How Im working through it is by: reframing my doubts. asking what is the worst that could happen? what is the best that could happen? if I cant believe in myself 100%, can I borrow the belief of someone that does and will that be enough? can I believe that a higher power could do it for me or even help guide me? So whats one thing that would change in your life if you completely believed in yourself? See more
09.01.2022 This is something I see with my clients a lot. They come in beating themselves up in some way whether emotionally, physically or mentally - for things they did or didnt do in their past and how they did or didnt react or respond. Forgiving my past self has been a big part of my journey too. But what if we didnt see our past selves as someone that needs forgiveness. What if we realised and understood that we were actually doing the best we could at the time with the... resources we had? Perhaps without those experiences, we wouldnt have learnt and grown in the way we needed to and, we wouldnt be the person we are today or the person were meant to be in the future? It can be hard at times, but I try to see all my past perceived failures as lessons and growth. Stop beating yourself up and let that shit go! Instead of forgiving yourself, choose to like yourself or maybe even love yourself, and find the peace within yourself that comes when you understand you were really just doing the best you could! 07.01.2022 How strong is your mindset? Does it control what you do and think, almost as if against your own will, or do you know how to let it know who's boss? One of the main reasons I studied NLP is because I got sick and tired of my mind being stronger than I was. It's definitely a work in progress - in fact it's probably something I'll be consciously working at until the day I die. You see, our unconscious mind just wants to protect us! It actually thinks it's doing what we wan...t it to when it tries to hold us back or keep us small...it's just trying to keep us safe. Even growth and discomfort feels like a threat to our poor old unconscious mind so it tries to shield us from that too! Like anything, you need to continue to work at your mindset to make it stronger, so when those pesky negative thoughts, limitations or feelings pop up to "protect you", you can swat them like a annoying fly and replace them with what you actually want to be thinking, doing or feeling. 07.01.2022 Gosh I love this woman! If you think Elizabeth Gilbert is good with words on paper, you should hear her speak! Ive lost count of the number of times Ive listened to her super-inspiring Magic Lessons podcast. Her Big Magic audiobook is something I go back to time and time again when I need to be reminded of the importance of connecting with, and using my creativity. While her voice soothes my ears, her messages soothe my soul! Today was no exception. My two biggest..., heartfelt takeaways from her talk: ~ What are you willing to give up to get the life that you keep pretending you want? ~ There is one thing that women need to embody above everything else. Were already strong, powerful, fierce, vulnerable etc but can we be totally and completely ? Anxiety is endemic. Its not ok to go through life feeling constantly anxious, in fact, were actually deferring truly living our life when were living in a state of anxiety. What would it take to be able to fully live, breathe and believe the words of her dear friend Richard Its all gonna be alright.?

06.01.2022 Well this one's as much a friendly reminder for me as it is for you! We all have a tendency to be excessively hard on ourselves - particularly when trying something new or becoming something new. Like never before, 2020 has demanded that we show up differently in our lives time and time again. It's pushed us, poked and prodded us, and given us no choice but to step into the spotlight and face some of our darkest fears and discomforts. But this is all part of the reinvention... our planet is going through right now. The old systems are being shaken up to make way for the new. Forcing us to face our shadows and the shadows of humanity so that healing and transformation can occur. So I'm asking you just to be kind to and patient with yourself! You've never had to navigate seas this stormy before - just remember you (and everyone you know for that matter) are doing the best they can. So much love to you!

05.01.2022 What if we lived everyday as if we had one last sunset over the ocean to watch. One more walk on the beach to feel the lap of the cool water on our feet and sand between our toes. One last meal with those we love and cherish, followed by one last hug and kiss goodbye. One last chance to say I love you. No, it’s not forever - it’s only 6 days. I’m not gonna lie though, my heart’s feeling a little heavy right now and the tears are stinging my eyes but I’m ok with that. I’m gonna fully feel and release the shock of this latest lockdown, and then I’m gonna go back to feeling gratitude for all the things that I’ll miss and, more importantly, the things I have. But shit, I’m still not sure how to tell Lola there’ll be no walks for 6 whole days - this little kelpie’s gonna drive me bonkers!!
04.01.2022 We’re all a lot tougher and more resilient than we give ourselves credit for. If there’s ever been a single time in our lives that has proven that, it’s 2020. There wouldn’t be one person alive right now that hasn’t been challenged, stretched and pushed out of their comfort zone this year. But you know what? You’re doing it! You’re getting through! And there’s a lot of you growing and thriving in the process. So I’m just popping in here to remind you of how incredible you are... and to give you a big high five for how well you’re actually doing (despite what your monkey mind might be telling you )! Heres what I plan to do this weekend to take care of me! stock up on my next weeks worth of fresh fruit & veg at the @willungafarmersmarket after work on Saturday morning treat myself to a steaming hot bubble bath ... enjoy a lazy lie in with a book on Sunday morning followed by some meditation and cacao lots of beach walking and playtime with my pup (between rain showers!) Im guilty of procrastinating at times and not taking action when I know I want to be. Whether youre out of work at the moment or working harder than ever as an essential worker, with all thats going on you may be thinking about whats really important to you and what you want to see change in your life. Think of one thing right now... that youd really like to change. What are three positive steps forward you can take this week so that youre no longer choosing it? 02.01.2022 It always amazes me how much quitting smoking can literally change a person's life. This quote came from a client I helped become a non-smoker a couple weeks ago. I quit smoking myself by reading Alan Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking. In the book he talks about a lady who had just one cigarette a day. You might say she wasn't really a smoker, least of all addicted, however she let this single cigarette rule her whole life. From the moment she woke up, all she woul...d think about was being able to have that smoke at the end of the day. After she had it, she'd be tortured by the fact that she'd have to wait another 24 hours until she could have another one. Kind of like my client. Every single day she would put off doing things she loved because she didn't want evidence of how unfit and unhealthy smoking had made her. She only smoked between 5-10 a day but they controlled her life. After our session, she was full of dreams and excitement for her future in a way she hadn't been for a long time. She felt like had control of her life again...not the cigarettes. If you or someone you know is in the same trap, there is a way out! 02.01.2022 I feel like I finally know what its like to have a soul family. Some of them Ive known since April last year, others I only met in December but it feels like weve been in the trenches together - fighting the war with our own minds and supporting each other as we go into the deepest and darkest parts of ourselves that not many people are willing to face. With their help I feel like Ive finally found me...the real me. The me that feels so much love for myself now that... the love I can feel for others is thru the roof! Yesterday I finished this part of a journey I began 10 months ago when out of the blue I signed up for NLP training with @julietlever. I hadnt planned to and had actually already studied NLP years ago but I knew I had to do it. I felt like there was no choice. I was sick of my mind controlling and limiting me. I knew I was capable of more - I just didnt know how to find my true potential without fear and not thinking I was good enough completely stopping me. Today I graduated as a Master Practitioner in NLP. Doing this has literally changed my life and how I see myself. I am so excited about whats in store for my future and the future of all the lives that Im going to be able to help change now. Thank you SO much to Paul and Juliet for making it your mission to bring out the best in people so it can ripple out into the world.
