24.01.2022 As it does, a change beyond my control came up recently. So I thought WHY NOT! I thought make the most of it and adapted to make the most of the change to help me achieve a little more life balance. Since then I have been fluctuating between excitement and anxiety. / When I talk about anxiety as a separate entity to myself, I externalise anxiety from who I am. 11.01.2022 I think the problem with New Year's Resolutions is that they are future focused. So instead this year I'd like to acknowledge something that I'm happy I did, or something that I've achieved no matter how small, or something that I'm happy with for me. Celebrating change and celebrating me in the present rather than placing what I want into the future.

08.01.2022 This can be a complicated one for issues of dependency and whether proceeding with the appointment will reinforce an underlying mental health issue. / I feel in some cases there can be tremendous benefits. It gives you the opportunity to reinforce with your client that they are doing well. It gives you the chance to explore. What is different this week compared to other weeks. Is there a difference in what your client is doing or how they are cognitively framing their life? I...t can be an opportunity to find golden nuggets. It can, for at least that session, shift from problem focused discourse to a strength based focus. / I went to see my Therapist yesterday and I was feeling great. I see it as part of my self care. We all carry our own life story. It helps me to continue to separate transference and counter- transference. Seeing my Therapist is no different for me than having a check up with the dentist. I am human. I engage in help seeking behaviours.
