17.01.2022 Hey! My name is Nicole, i run Nicole's family daycare in Mango Hill. I received my qualification in Early childhood education in 2013, and have since worked in ...centres, and as a nanny, all around Australia. I have also studied psychological science, and i am always continuing and furthering my studies in early childhood education in all areas, but with a special interest in neuroscientist and child development specialist, Nathan Wallis. (https://www.nathanwallis.com) I live with my Husband, Jeremy and our two children Oliver and Charlie. I pride myself on creating an environment where children can really feel comfortable, as though they are in their own home. I absolutely LOVE to create experiences for sensory messy play and although some people may cringe when they see the mess we make, i certainly only see some of the most authentic learning you'll find. paint wipes off, clothes can be washed, and you can't beat the smiles i get to see! Working in childcare centres, i found there was too much pressure on educators to complete task after task, and not enough time given to just be present with the children. After my second child was born, i decided to create a new path for myself and become a Family Daycare Educator. I was extremely lucky to fall right into place with the most wonderful coordination scheme, Kids at Home, and have been truly amazed at the support and genuine caring environment that is held between all educators and staff. 11.01.2022 Healthy choc-veg muffins Wanted to share my recipe, I make these very regularly as they’re a hit with the kids and they’re healthy! What more could you ask for Ingredients:... 1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour 1/4 cup cacao powder 1/4 cup chia seeds 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1/2 cup honey or sweetener of choice 1 cup grated zucchini 1/2 cup grated carrot 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbs nuttelex or alternative Mix all dry ingredients together until thoroughly combined Melt the nuttelex and add the vanilla into it, stir and pour into the centre of dry mixture Pour in the almond milk, and thoroughly mix. once ingredients are combined, add in honey and grated vegetables, mix thoroughly. pour into muffin pan or loaf pan and bake at 180 degrees until cooked through. *add in any extras you might like, eg: blueberries, raspberries, chocolate chips, sultanas/dried fruit. I like to add blueberries * Muffins sized in the picture below take around 15 minutes, the loaf takes about 45. Happy cooking!

(potential for longer hours) we also have one vacancy on a Thursday, from 8AM-2PM. these days are available from Thursday the 6th of MAY....
