23.01.2022 This Beautiful Piano was donated to Nido Balcatta today. Its owner Penny purchased this Piano in 1976 from her next door neighbour in Subiaco who purchased it in 1964. Since then this piano has moved with her to Floreat, to City Beach to Osborne Park. It has lived in Osborne Park since 1992 until now. What a wonderful act of kindness, to donate this gorgeous Piano, along with its original papers to us for all the families and children to play and explore. Penny will be coming in occasionally to visit her Piano and all the children. Such great relationships with members of our community to make our days brighter.

It's a day for all of us to celebrate all Western Australians, recognising our Aboriginal history, early European settlers and the many from all over the world who have made, and continue to make, Western Australia their home.

08.01.2022 Meet the Team Hi my name is Silvia and I’m an Educator in the Kinder room. I’m Italian and I’ve been living in Australia for 8 years. When I arrived, in 2013, I started working as a nanny for a beautiful family and they became my Australian family. ... It was then when I discovered my passion for children so I began to study Early Childhood. In 2019 I decided to leave Australia and travel solo, It was the best time of my life I went home to Italy and spent 5 months with my family, and my little niece that I missed so much, but I realized that Australia, especially Perth, is the place where I wanted to be. I came back with more determination and inspiration I decided to continue studying and get my diploma in Early Childhood education. Now I’ve got my Diploma with thanks to the Nido family who helped me with my work placement and with my studies during the covid-19. I am Italian, I come from a small town in the middle of Italy called Atessa and I moved here in Perth almost 7 years ago with my boyfriend Nico, now my husband. ... We love to spend time discovering every corner of this wonderful city and enjoying time with our big friend-family group! I arrived here in Australia with my Diploma in Beauty Therapy and after 12 years of a career as a Beauty Therapist, because my big love for children, I decided to change my life and began the studies in Early Childhood Education. I realised that it’s such an amazing and rewarding feeling to know that you are supporting children through some of the most important years of their lives! So now I’m Certificate III Educator and I would like to continue my studies to Diploma in Early Childhood Education in the close future! 01.01.2022 Meet the team Hi, my name is Arliene and I was born and raised in the Philippines and graduated with a Degree in Marketing. I’m a qualified Certificate 3 Educator working at Nido Balcatta as a lunch cover in all the rooms. My family are in the Philippines and I migrated to Australia in 2018. I have 2 adult children and they are also in the Philippines. I am very grateful to my partner for being supportive and understanding of my new career path. Outside work life, I always ...spend time with my partner watching footy, travelling to different places and socializing with our friends during the weekends My passion is working with children and that is why I decided to pursue a career in the childcare industry. This is my first time working in childcare and I love working with different age groups and getting to know the children and their families. I love being with children, being able to meet their needs and I love that children can be so excited with small things like a cuddle, singing and love. It is so rewarding and amazing to be loved and receive a hug from a child.
