25.01.2022 This morning our toddlers had their first STEM experience. What is STEM, you ask? STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. STEM can refer to the subjects individually or one or more working together, but can also mean a way of doing things that includes solving problems, asking questions, and exploring the world around us. Toddlers are at an ideal age for this kind of learning, as they are curious by nature and love to explore. Today, we played a game called: 'What is in the bag?' The children investigated, talked about what they found, and made some interesting discoveries. We focused on their sense of touch, and used words like warm, cold, soft, smooth, and prickly.

24.01.2022 To help foster a sense of belonging and community we encourage you to share your home experiences with us, while we share our service experiences with you. Today we read a book called 'Giraffes Can't Dance'. I have added a recording of this tale and encourage you to share it with your children. Then, choose your own favourite music to dance to, record and share! During the week, we will share more activities that you can engage your children in at home.

14.01.2022 Saturday, 19th September 2020 is "Talk Like A Pirate Day!"

08.01.2022 This morning the kinder children embarked on an adventure like no other; with great enthusiasm Candice, Marjonè and the children walked to the nearby reserve for our first bush kinder session. It was a marvellous adventure for the kinder children with unlimited fun and loads of time to wonder and explore. It was lovely to watch the children engaging with nature in a positive way as they collected sticks, searched for bugs and, ran up and down the reserve. As the program cont...inues, we will encourage the children to gain understanding and respect for the environment we are using as well as, building awareness of the impact we have on the environment. It was great morning at bush kinder and we can't wait for our next trip.

05.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educator's Day!

04.01.2022 Our Bush Kinder is starting this week as part of our funded kinder program. We are so excited to be providing the children with a weekly opportunity to explore and learn in nature. Some of the recognised benefits of regular play in the natural environment include; * Increased social, physical and language skills * Deeper conceptual understanding and respect for the natural environment... * Mud, sand, water, leaves, sticks etc. * Can stimulate children’s immune systems making them sick less often. * More resistant to stress * Lower incidence of behavioural disorders, anxiety and depression * Have a higher measure of self-worth If you would like your child to be part of this experience please come and chat to us

04.01.2022 Next week is Book Week! We invite everyone to dress up as their favourite character on any or all the days next week!
