25.01.2022 And so this is (almost) Christmas 2020! We’ve got your Christmas needs covered with cakes, puddings and treats like fruit mince tarts, white Christmas, rum balls and apricot balls. I strongly encourage you to order your breads, croissants, sticks, cobs or anything out of the ordinary to guarantee supply and avoid disappointment. We close at 2:30pm Christmas Eve. We will then be closed for 4 days from Christmas Day reopening Tuesday 29th December. Ho Ho Ho and please, shop locally - it really matters!

19.01.2022 Things are progressing well with the renovations and at this point we will bake tonight to reopen tomorrow Friday as planned. Outside work on the building is continuing and will be for another week or so, but (apart from the unfortunate noise) that won’t prevent us from reopening. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

14.01.2022 Today is a significant day in the life of Nimbin Bakery - it’s our 10th Birthday! I’m enjoying a few days away with my hardworking wife Tricia Butcher in beautiful Stanthorpe where I was still able to find a Botero Coffee Roasters to warm me up. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved during the past 10 years and also I am extremely grateful for the support that the Nimbin community offers us.... I thank all our staff, current and past, for their efforts in making the business what it is. Everyone works so hard in a very busy workplace. Thank you so much We have seen so many things in our 10 years - only 12 months ago we were in the grip of a lockdown from Covid19, not long before that bushfires and drought. Who can forget the floods! We are about to undertake our 11th MardiGrass which is a huge event for our business and the village. Next week we will have cake to celebrate so come on in. Thank you.

01.01.2022 I jinxed myself - rain, rain go away! At present, there is a strong chance we may not be able to bake tonight. Myself and my baking team all live in Lismore and are cut off from access to the bakery. Once we can get through on the road, we will bake fresh breads for the community. It’s hard to predict as the rain doesn’t seem to want to stop. I will keep this page updated as things become clearer.
