09.01.2022 Melbourne has a global reputation as a street art capital. Art can cut through the best and worst of human behaviour - today’s topic Remembering the Past.’ Gen-To-Gen organised this art project in conjunction with Courage to Care Victoria and Gandel Philanthropy. I was proud to represent Minister Ros Spence MP for this youth/art event. A workshop zoning in on genocides across the globe, followed by lunch and a brilliant street art project led by Kaff-eine street artist is supporting art, acknowledging mistakes of the past to create a more peaceful future without racism. Upstander instead of bystander behaviour is encouraged.
04.01.2022 More than 1000 new homes and 4,500 jobs will be created through a first of its kind social housing partnership between our State Government, community housing organisations and the private sector. Our State Government will lease land in Brighton (pictured), Flemington and Prahran to a consortium to build, operate and maintain housing on the sites for 40 years.
