23.01.2022 The wonderful people of Variety - the Children's Charity of Queensland are coming to our region on their Variety Bash Adventure! 350 adventurers and crew will c...amp overnight at Nindigully on Thursday 12th November. Under the Variety Bash COVID-safe plan, the Nindigully Tourist Area will be closed to the general public from 6pm that evening to accommodate the massive group. The Nindigully Tourist Area will reopen to the general public at 9.30am on Friday 13th November. On behalf of Variety we apologise for any inconvenience, but do encourage everyone to give the Variety Bash a friendly wave if you see them on your travels!

St George Police and Ambulance Officers are taking on the The Push-Up Challe...nge - each officer is completing 3,318 push ups over the next 25 days, to raise funds and awareness for mental health support groups like headspace and Lifeline. Why 3,318 push-ups? That is the number of Australians who lost their lives to suicide in 2019. This is a cause close to the hearts of our officers, who are taking part for their third year. St George Police have raised a lot of money for the cause in past years. In 2019 they raised $8,000 and placed 4th in Australia for their fundraising.
