25.01.2022 ~ Ningaloo Inspired Teatowels ~ Sometimes ideas are years in the making, and dont develop overnight. A cleanout of the shed attic found an old course book from a TAFE course I completed back in 2012 in printing and stamping. We were to 'develop and articulate a concept of your own work"...to design a wrapping paper but we also put them on teatowels for our final presentation, most of mine I gave away to friends and family as christmas pressies, but did keep a few from back t...hen (see below), always with the intention of returning to doing something with them one day - they were a popular idea . At the time I remember researching and researching to make sure the design ideas were unique and no one else was doing them. So from these ideas in a course 9 years ago to finally come to fruition in my series below.... I am excited about my next concept, another unique idea I think will be popular , hopefully this is not 10 years in the making.. . nine designs in three themes, seashells, nautilus and dragonfly, all slightly different designs, complementing the colours of the natural linen. Sold separately or in any series of three for $60. ~ Quality Natural Russian Linen. ~ Proudly printed in Australia. ~ Designed in Exmouth. Please send me a PM if you would like to order

23.01.2022 ~ Pretty excited to be ready to relaunch the branding for the shop this week, as a great friend fittingly said 'From little things, big things grow,'.... From a small market stall on the old visitor centre oval when Mulan officially started the Exmouth Community Markets Inc in 2011.... To nervously converting my home garage into a gallery and studio space........ To now about to open a shop - the first in the marina area...exciting times, a few things to do before opening, but one step at a time..I don't want to rush it, first thing on a long list..stay tuned ~

09.01.2022 Where it all began, my Ningaloo Inspired market stall business started in 2012, selling locally inspired wall art, designs and photography prints. Having focussed more recently on original pastel seascape artworks, I'm branching back out to include some favourite designs and photography prints and developing some new things for my home gallery. Watch this space......

06.01.2022 ~ Very excited to announce the Feature Artist for May ~ I have been hanging to have Grants incredible work in the gallery ~ Grant Griffin - Photography Instagram : grantgriffinphotography ... Grant Griffin has a diploma in photography and lives here in Exmouth. He has a lifelong interest in Wildlife and recently retired as the District Wildlife officer in Exmouth. Grant has been conducting bird surveys along the Ningaloo Coast since 2012 recording some previously unrecorded species from the area. In 2013, Grant photographed a pair of sea snakes along the Ningaloo Reef that were presumed Extinct! Subsequently a population has been found in the gulf. Living in such a remote and vast area there is still so much to learn and discover about the species that inhabit the Ningaloo Coast, Exmouth Gulf and the North West Cape. Grants passion for photography helps him achieve this. Several framed as well as prints of a great selection of works are available in the gallery, below are just a few examples. I will have Grant in for an Artist Talk at the end of may so stay tuned, sure to be amazing!

05.01.2022 ~ Tea Towels ~ Nautilus Dragonflies Ningaloo shells ... So, Ive had a big love of shells since I was a kid. All shells, shapes, sizes, broken ones, perfect ones, even the small shells. The spirals fascinate me with their perfect symmetry. I'd spend hours combing the tidelines at home beaches to come across the rare black cowrie, or the bright orange fan shell. When I got back into art about 10 years ago, this was one of the first things I wanted to draw for a love of their shape and using black and white to highlight the unreal contrasts in nature's structures, with the nautilus being an epic example. Each design is drawn freehand from a shell I've found on our local beaches, many of them common in certain parts of the gulf and westside, some, not so much. Dragonflies, well I just love them when they rock up out the front of our house each year in masses signalling a change from our hot summer to our cooler seasons. They just make me smile. Proudly designed (by me ) and printed in Australia on quality 100% natural russian linen and linen cotton blend in white (strong, absorbent and quick drying) in White, black and Oatmeal. $25 each or 3x for $60 To order: please PM the design and colour you are after
