25.01.2022 Last night was our final session of woolworths cricket blasters for the season , a huge thanks to Mitch Davis who ran the program this year. Mitch done an excellent job with quite a big number of kids attending the 10 week program this year. Also thanks to the senior players who helped Mitch with the kids throughout the season.

It hasn’t always been easy but you’ve all been absolute champions- thanks to the young stars of the future that played well above their age group so we could form a team this year. 23.01.2022 We are having a working bee at 11.00am on Sunday for an end of season clean up so ground can handed over to the footy club. Would be good to get as many people there as possible as many hands make light work.

21.01.2022 Congratulation to our Div 3 Captain Scott Dance and his wife Melissa on the safe arrival of their daughter, Stella Elizabeth on the 7th of May. We are glad that Scott was there during the birth and didnt drop the baby unlike some of his catches. Go knights!

20.01.2022 This years Helen Gillin award has been given to someone who has gone over and above what has been required of them. This person not only is heavily involved in the actual game but also off ground plays a vital role in the day to day running of the club and overseeing all aspects of all levels within the club. He sets a fine example of dedication to the club and is at the forefront of volunteering at every available opportunity.... The 2019/20 Helen Gillin Award is presented to Scott Dance. Thank you for all you do for the Nirranda Knights, we are fortunate to have you at our club and we thank you and your family for the sacrifices you make.

20.01.2022 Div 3 had a another great win yesterday fielding first got koroit 9/138 off 40 overs with Alex blake take 4/23 off 8 with ash Ferguson, Al Wallace, Sam Bushell and Mick Walsh taking a wicket each. We made 6/143 with Mick Walsh making 45,Sam bushell 29 and Alex Blake 15. We have a bye next week but by the looks of things we have managed to make finals that will be played the week after.

19.01.2022 Friday night last minute pre lockdown 20/20 was a great success! Captains Grant and Oliver Stansfield picked their best teams and it was on. Grant’s team ended up having bragging rights on a fun night with many a laugh. We even had a special guest umpiring, Snow.... See you all after lockdown. Go knights!

17.01.2022 Due to the relaxation in covid restrictions all training will return to Thursday night starting this thursday. Woolworths Junior blasters will now run from 5.30 to 6.30 on a Thursday night also. Junior training will commence at the same time running from 5-6.30 with the seniors starting after that.

16.01.2022 Div 3 split the points today, with the game getting washed out 15 overs through the second innings. We batted first and made 138 all out, with Jarryd Walsh getting 63 including 5 sixes,Al Wallace 26 and Sam Bushell 16. Russells Creek were 2/49 in reply with Al Wallace and Oscar Sanderson taking a wicket a piece before the rain came.

13.01.2022 On behalf of all committee, players and supporters we would like to offer our sincere condolences to Jake Harkness, his family and the extended Harkness family on the passing of Bruce. Bruce was a true gentleman and loyal supporter of our club. He will be greatly missed.

13.01.2022 As most are probably aware the league has scheduled October 31st as the start for the 20/21 season. We are still awaiting a return to play/train schedule from cricket Victoria as to when we are able to start training and the requirements for that. We will keep everyone updated as soon as this becomes known to us. Let's hope for a big season in 20/21.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to the new members of the executive. Dion Jansz has taken on the job of President with Alex Blake to take on the job of Vice President,Owen Simpson has taken on the job as treasurer, Christopher Haberfield has stepped in to the junior Vice President role with Scott Dance to stay on as Secretary. Also a huge thankyou to Glenn Dalton who has taken on the role of Junior Coordinator. A big thankyou to Shaun Dalton who has stepped down as President and Chris Hibburt who has stepped down as treasurer. Let's hope for a big year in 20/21.

07.01.2022 This Saturday our Divison 3 side is taking on koroit in a pink stumps match that koroit cricket club have organised it would be great to have as many of our supporters there as all funds raised go towards the McGrath foundation which is a great cause. The game starts at 1.00pm at koroit.

06.01.2022 Big couple of games again today with divison 2 looking for their first win of the season taking on Dennington at Nirranda. Divison 3 are looking to build on their strong start to the season taking on Allansford-Panmure Gold At Allansford. Both games start at 12.30.

06.01.2022 Round Recap! Div 2 played a very positive game of cricket. We held the d-town dogs to 3-50 at drinks, unfortunately we had a bit of a 5 over lapse late in the game which hurt allowing the visitors too 6-203. Lachie Walsh was the pick of the bowlers taking 2 for 12 in his return to cricket.... In reply we lost henry Stansfield at the top with a good ball from Jordan garner which had us 1-9 our captain fell lbw finding us 2/22 jarryd and Jethro steading the ship before jarryd hole out for 20. Bringing our other captain Stennett to the crease, shortly after Jethro raised the bat for his first 50 for the knights. Stennett quickly raced to 50 also. Unfortunately Jethro was struck on the pads for 65 a solid knock ! Stennett then holes out with a stupid lofted cut shot. This leaving us in a strong position of 5/145 with 13 overs left to play. We ended the day on all out in the last over 179, 20 runs short. Div 3 Lost by an agonizing 2 runs, Jones and Ferguson both getting starts and falling at 23. A couple of run outs hurt us! Lachie Blake was a stand out in the field! Rowan Ferguson to 3/20 off 8 Mitch Davis another 2 wickets to his haul for 20 off 8. We move forward to next week very positive signs GO KNIGHTS

05.01.2022 Nirranda junior presentations tonight. Thanks to Dion for organizing and to the coaches, players and families who have given up their time and effort for the club this season. Congratulations to all the award winners tonight. May you all continue to play in the spirit of the game. We hope to see you all back at the club next season.

03.01.2022 Another great win by div 3 with us bowling West Warrnambool all out for 78 with Sam Bushell getting 3/14 off 8 overs, Alex Blake 3/18 off 6, Mick Walsh 2/4 off 3.5 and Al Wallace 2/9 off 8. Sam,Alex and Al were all on a hatrick also. We made the runs only lost 2 wickets in 17 overs with Jamie Poumako making 42 not out Sam Bushell 19 and Al Wallace 13 not out. Also thanks to Heidi Stansfield for filling in for the day great effort.
