Did you know that supplementing vitamins and minerals are only for specific health conditions and to meet individuals needs as determined by a healthcare practitioner? Supplementation can be great when the body is struggling to achieve balance, however supplementing to replace food is not recommended and actually depletes more from the body. 04.01.2022 A question I get asked by my patients is ‘When will I start to feel better?’ In terms of ‘feeling better’ I normally see improvement in stress associated with your condition within the first month. For a complete return to health from a long-term illness, a general timeframe is 3 months, and add 1 more month for every year you’ve had the condition. Your recovery is also dependent on your trust in your Naturopath’s treatment plan, the full disclosure of all signs and symptoms ...along the way so they can adjust the plan as needed, and your Naturopath’s ability to understand and treat your condition. Personally, If I’m not seeing results within 3 months, it is either because the patient is non-compliant with treatment, or I need to refer the patient to a practitioner who is more versed in their medical condition.
