15.01.2022 Hi everyone, Our names are Aletana and Arushi. We are both students at the ANU and applied for Girls Run The World initiative by The Girls Leadership Network that gives women the opportunity to work at an embassy for a day. We were fortunate enough to have been allocated to spend the day at The Netherlands Embassy. It was an extremely insightful experience. We learned a lot about diplomacy, foreign affairs, career path options, personal experiences of the staff and how to b...e impactful to the world. We immediately felt welcomed, thanks to the wonderful team. We must give a special acknowledgement to Katrina and Annick for organising our visit and making it so wonderful! We have benefitted from the expertise of the staff here that will be conducive to the career options we might choose later. We recommend this programme for any young women that have an interest in foreign affairs. Once again, we would like to thank The Netherlands Embassy for providing us with such a unique experience and we look forward to reconnecting with them. With gratitude and appreciation, Aletana and Arushi
