25.01.2022 THERE IS ONLY FEEDBACK --NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE In everything we do there is a lesson to be learned. If we look at all the times of our lives where we have been tested and look at it from a place of learning how does the meaning of that moment change. Think of a baby first learning to walk if the baby fell down would you tell that baby " that's it, you have failed at walking and must crawl the rest of you life" . I highly doubt it, however as adults often times we see things as a failure because we did not get it the first time or the second or the third. Understanding that it is only feedback that you are receiving to help you learn and get to your outcome.



23.01.2022 **************Opportunities************** They are always around us, sometimes we don't notice them, sometimes we do. How do we go about creating or noticing an opportunity? One answer is putting in the work, practiced daily focussed effort. People often say that they were not ready for it, they did not see it coming or complain that there is no opportunities out there. The ones practicing, making themselves ready to rumble and preparing for an opportunity are the one who t...ake advantage. They are apparently " The Lucky Ones". 22.01.2022 The Process Along the way towards your goal is the journey. 90% of your time will be spent building up to the goal. The process you go through is the construction stage that people often forget. Enjoy the process, it is the growing, the improving part that we spend so much of our time on and often forget as we accomplish our goal. 20.01.2022 The Obstacles There will always be obstacles in your path. When faced with these road blocks your conscious and unconscious mind then decides how you act or react to this challenge. Focusing on the solution to the problem not the problem itself helps you creatively figure it out.... Solutions based thinking uses the brain at its best (creativity), allowing your brain to work for you not against you. A few tips Ask better questions (how can I use this to improve etc) Ask a training partner/coach/ friend. Find out how your favourite athlete took on the challenge. 90% of the time somebody else has had these obstacles and found an answer. Remember limited thinking creates limited results. Each person in the team has a particular set of skills/ talents that benefits you. Learning to use those skills of your teammates dramatically increases the chances of success. Elite Athletes practise fundamentals daily so that when it's time to perform under pressure, their mind, body and emotions are in flow.... Don't be bored by fundamentals, every training session is a unique opportunity for self improvement and the practise of fundamentals is the stepping stones to self mastery.

Start small and pour all your energy into 1 specific action step during training, whether is is pad work, technique, running, weights etc. It takes practise and repetition to improve your levels of focus. Ask yourself this power question: ... How will this specific exercise improve my performance? Keep your mind on that answer for as long as you can during training without any distractions. If you are distracted that's ok repeat the question, the answer and the action. When you FOCUS on the benefits of the exercise your energy and attention flow into the action. 04.01.2022 *****************PRACTICE***************** One of the simplest ways to exponentially improve your results is through taking constant action towards it. Practice by definition is " the actual application or use of an idea, belief or method as opposed to the theories relating to it". 02.01.2022 Use EVERYTHING When I speak to my clients I tell them to use anything and everything to their advantage even the opinions of others. People are always going to cast their opinions upon you, good or bad. People might support you or doubt you, love you or hate you. You have no control over this.... What you have control over is how you choose to react and use their opinions. You can choose to use the negative and positive, the good and the bad to empower you. 01.01.2022 FEAR ...... Fear of failure/success/rejection/losing. How do we use fear to EMPOWER ourselves? Does fear lock you down or free you? The answer is it can do both, so which do you choose?... Fear is here to serve us (it stops us from doing stupid sh&t ) when we use it for its intended purpose. When we use it another way we can understand that it is a signalled response from the body get ready for action. (Something is about to happen) The way you respond to that signal is entirely your choice. (an automatic old response or a new way) Understanding what fear is for you and how you react to it is the first step. A few questions to think about. How has it served you? Is this fear real or imagined? How much has it cost you in your sport/life? Are you aware of your automatic response to it? Do you really want to conquer it?
