17.01.2022 Backups! A few days ago I read a terribly sad story about a man who had lost his daughter to cancer. What has this got to do with backups I hear you ask? Well the point of the story was that he had had his laptop stolen and the only photographs he had of his daughter were on it. He had no backups and was pleading with the thieves to return it to him. I suspect that the poor man has lost those precious photographs. Soooo on that somber note see below...... BACKUPS ARE IMP...Continue reading

14.01.2022 Tips for keeping your PC cool over the heat of summer! Now that summer is upon us, I have been getting a few calls out to PC's that have almost completely given up the ghost due to overheating. This can be very expensive to get fixed - particularly if it is the CPU (central processing unit) that has overheated. Overheating PCs will also tend to run much slower due to something called thermal throttling, which is where the PC automatically slows down the processing in an att...Continue reading

04.01.2022 Hi to all my facebook friends and family out there. I have signed up to take part in the Weekend to End Womens Cancer. This is a 60km walk around Perth (god help me .... must get fit!) which will be taking place next march. BUT (there is always a but isnt there) I have to raise $2000.00 as my part of the charitable donations. Just after christmas last year, we lost my darling Mother in law to ovarian cancer, and while we all say things like "oh so and so fought cancer with d...ignity" the truth is Cancer is a horrible disease and there is nothing dignified about it. The aim of this weekend is to raise much needed funds for research in to womens cancers such as ovarian and breast cancer. We all know that due to medical research, the 5 year survival rates for breast cancer are now greatly improved on what they were 20 years ago but unfortunately, the survival rates for ovarian cancers are still really low. Less than 25% of people diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer survive more than 2 years. Ovarian cancer is known as the silent killer as it is virtually symptom-less until it is way to late. More research into better treatments and possible cures is needed which is why I am determined to do this walk and raise the $2000.00. Please help in whatever way you can either by donating (even small amounts help) or by sharing this on your facebook pages so that I can get the word out there. If anybody wants to join me and my team in this great cause message me and I will tell you how you can join in. Thanks all. Donate here! http://pr14.endcancer.org.au/site/TR/Events/Perth2014
