25.01.2022 Good luck to everyone at the ABC Personal Best Day today! We look forward to seeing all your personal bests! To follow along with the day make sure to follow our Instagram @noarlungalac as U16 athlete Maddy will be taking over our Instagram stories for the day!
25.01.2022 A message from our President: Text from the images: Hi Everyone... With 2020 drawing to a close, it has certainly been a challenging year. Our committee is small, but extremely dedicated. However, the size of the committee has meant some challenges so far this year in getting everything done. So far our communication this season has been via Facebook and email - however, we are about to get the Team app up and running again as we did last year. My apologies for the delay New members will have received an email today inviting them to team app. This is an app used by many clubs and is another way of communicating and providing information for meets. When you receive this email please accept. Team app can be found in both the Apple app store and Google Store. Again, my apologies that we haven't been able to get this up and running for the coming season until this stage... but with a little down time over the holidays we will be able to get a schedule on the app and provide an extra layer of communication out to the members. We will continue to send out urgent information via email and put any notices on Facebook in addition to notices on Team app. Hopefully through these three ways of communicating we can keep everyone up to date. We have our final meet planned for this Sunday the 20th of December at the club at 9am. The weather looks perfect at this stage. Please note, that Covid check in is a mandatory requirement from the SA Government. QR codes will be on display as you enter the oval along with hand sanitiser and everyone who attends must be checked in either via QR code or if not possible on a smart phone, we will have manual sign in sheets. Athletes will sign in via their recording sheets. Remember to have your smart phone handy for electronic recording as well. Come along in a Christmas hat or some other decoration to celebrate Christmas and the end of 2020. We will have our usual BBQ, Bananas from Coles and lots of Christmas Joy. I would like to personally thank the Committee for the work they have put in this year. As I said at the beginning, they are a small, but very dedicated group of parents (and sibling) and have worked extremely hard to get us through the first half season as well as learning new software and navigating our way through all the changes as a result of Covid-19. I would love to encourage people to think about being on the committee next year. Little Athletics is a community sport run by parents and Many hands make light work. I hope to see everyone on Sunday at Christies Beach. For anyone I don't get to see: My Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2021. Kind Regards Meg Molenaar - President NLAC

23.01.2022 Hi all! A quick reminder that tomorrow's meet will be at the SA Athletics Stadium for the interclub meet. This is an event that you needed to register for, so unfortunately if you haven't registered already, you won't be able to attend, and there won't be a home meet at the same time. We look forward to seeing you back at home on the 15th! For everyone else we will see you tomorrow and look forward to seeing you there!
21.01.2022 Please note that the State PB Classic will be postponed due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. Unfortunately due to the newly imposed restrictions, we won't be able to have a meet at home this weekend either. We hope to keep you updated as the restrictions change in the future.
21.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Based on recommendations from the Little Athletics Association we have been advised that all club presentations be suspended. It is obviously an unfortunate decision to make and not one that was taken lightly but as we all work together in these trying times to be vigilant in slowing down the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, we hope that athletes and their families understand.... As a committee, based on recommendations from the Association, we have decided to have athletes and their families visit the shed this Sunday from 10am until 12pm to collect their certificates, medal and any trophy they may have received. That will keep us from having any large gatherings at the one time. We ask that you be mindful of others and understand that there are still many differing opinions and beliefs in regard to the virus. There WILL NOT be any BBQ facilities but athletes can still receive a free Zooper Dooper. If you or any of your family are unwell, please DO NOT attend to collect your awards and please arrange for collection at another time. If you are unavailable to attend for other reasons, you can also arrange for collection at a later date by contacting us via Facebook or the NLAC email ([email protected]). Winners of Age Group Trophies and other awards will be posted on Facebook and our website soon. Congratulations to these athletes and of course to all the athletes for a wonderful season. Our AGM prior to presentation selects the committee for the following season. Due to the circumstances mentioned, we will not have our AGM at this stage and all reports will be available electronically if required. As you collect your awards, we will be seeking parents to take a role on the committee for next season. Remember, all positions are vacant and need to be filled. Again, if you are unable to attend and wish to join the committee, let us know asap. A committee of many, makes it easy for many! It has been a terrific season and it is unfortunate that it has had to end this way. But the health and safety of our members must take priority. Season 2020/21 will hopefully kick off in September! Enjoy the winter break. Renee President NLAC

19.01.2022 Though it's going to be a hot one, we will still be going ahead tomorrow morning! The forecast says it will be 35C and the UV index very high in the Noarlunga Centre area so we would like to remind everyone to be sun smart and "Slip, Slop, Slap". If you can, please bring your own sunscreen. We will have some out at the club for members to use, however we do want to keep our high contact areas to a minimum as much as possible to keep within our Covid Safe Plan. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

14.01.2022 TOMORROWS MEET - CANCELLED 2020 really has not been our year, but we hope that we will be able get out as much as possible and see all of you in 2021. Tomorrow is going to be a fantastic day in terms of the weather, so please go out and enjoy it just as you would have at the club. We wish you a very merry and safe Christmas, and a happy new year.... Regards, The 2020/21 NLAC Committee Text in picture: Hi Everyone Well in keeping with the year of 2020, we unfortunately have to cancel tomorrow's meet on the 20th of December. This is due to Christies Beach High School Undertaking works on classrooms close to the club rooms that may have asbestos. There is no risk to our club rooms, or ongoing issues, it is simply a case of having no access while they are completing the work. At this stage we will also not have access for our first meet back on the 10th of January. We are going to speak to Mid Coast to see if we can combine with them that day. Keep an eye out for more information and confirmation of this event. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and here's to a much better 2021. Stay safe over the Holidays and I look forward to seeing everyone back next year. Regards Meg Molenaar - President NLAC

05.01.2022 Hot Weather Policy (Noarlunga Forecast 36 or over) will be enforced tomorrow due to the 37 degree forecast which means our usual Sunday meet is cancelled! Last week rain, now hot weather policy! Next week is Relay Day for those who have nominated in a team. Good Luck to all athletes. We then break for Christmas and return Jan 12. Merry Christmas to all athletes and families!
04.01.2022 Take 2? Bring A Friend Day will be this coming Sunday, December 8 as we were washed out last Sunday. We hope to see you there.
04.01.2022 Time to start considering being a committee member for next season. All committee roles become vacant at our AGM/Presentation and as some of the current committee will be leaving, all positions need to be filled. Check out the website and download the committee role descriptions from our Information page. Remember: Great Committee = Great Club!
04.01.2022 Hot Weather Policy reminder: Events will only be cancelled if the forecast is 36 degrees or higher in the Noarlunga area as mentioned in the previous night's news coverage. At this stage, the forecast is for 37 in Adelaide but 35 in Noarlunga so we will be good to go for our Bring a Friend Day. Also, as we start early in the morning, the temperature will probably be in the 20's which should make for a lovely day and we'll have the Zooper Doopers ready for a cooling down treat... afterwards. So, keep an eye on the forecast and keep an eye on our Facebook page. See you Sunday (hopefully).
