21.01.2022 We are happy to announce an important collaboration and partnership with Elton Chigumbura Cricket academy in Harare Zimbabwe. We encourage those kids in Harare who want to learn more about cricket to enlist in the academy, Elton will also be having classes for those people with disabilities. To our diaspora friends, we are looking for any used cricket equipment, balls, bats, so we can send to Zimbabwe to support our partner. It doesnt matter how old it is, it will all matter. 19.01.2022 It is such an encouragement to see that a vast majority of church leaders today are acknowledging and recognizing that the issues around mental health are more complicated than simply praying away the mental illness. . . As an organization we believe the church has a moral and spiritual responsibility to provide resources and support to those with mental illness and their families. 11.01.2022 Important collaboration with Clean Marondera organisation based in Mashonaland East Zimbabwe. Clean Marondera is involved in waste management , recycling and community initiatives and have won a number of awards. Our member of Staff Ngoni is currently involved in running mental health awareness sessions at Clean Marondera on a twice weekly bases, on Mondays and Thursdays. These sessions have proved to be popular in the local community. We welcome Clean Marondera organisation and will run a lot of joint initiatives in Marondera. 08.01.2022 At Nokutenda Disability Foundation, we know the importance of sport and exercise in improving mental health. Latest research is now identifies exercise and sport as having benefits similar to medication. With our partner Elton Chigumbura Academy, we are working together and supporting them as they initiate cricket academies all over Zimbabwe starting with Harare and Bulawayo.
