17.01.2022 Getting lots of questions on whether or not you need to wear a mask in the gym. After talking to DHHS the answer is still unclear because it depends on whether you consider the exercise your doing is strenuous enough that wearing a mask is going to make it difficult for you to breath. So running is considered strenuous enough to mean you are not required to wear a mask. Strength or weight training depending on how hard your working out is considered less strenuous but then it... comes down to the individual and how strenuous they consider there workout to be and whether or not they should or shouldn’t be wearing a mask. So No Limits Health Clubs will recommend you wear a mask in the gym while training but it’s not mandatory. We would recommend though whenever your in the gym with or without a mask, you try to limit time spent just talking as standing around talking is certainly not considered strenuous exercise. 06.01.2022 From Fitness Australia With the Victorian Government having insisted that gyms stay closed under the state’s Coronavirus lockdown measures, and Fitness Australia and the new VIC Active group advocating for their reopening, a glimmer of hope has emerged for industry operators. Confusion has existed since Fitness Australia cited Victorian Government advice on 10th September that gyms would reopen on 26th October, to be followed last week by a Victorian Department of Health and ...Human Services spokeswoman saying reopening would not be allowed until 23rd November. There’s a lot of mixed messages going on at the moment. We’ve been working towards an opening date of October 26," CEO Barrie Elvish. There are more than 900,000 Victorians with gym memberships. They need to be able to exercise, get that balance back into their system and look after their wellbeing. Fitness Australia hopes to seek clarification by the end of this week. 06.01.2022 As you all are probably aware by now the government has announced today that from Wednesday the 5th of August at 11.59am Regional Victoria is returning to Stage 3 lockdowns again, which means the closure of gyms. So No Limits Health Clubs will be closing it’s doors from 10pm on Wednesday the 5th of August. All memberships will be automatically suspended and all pre paid memberships will be credited with there time left when we re open. Please stay safe, positive and active as much as possible for this next 6 weeks while adhering to the rules so we can beat this virus and have life return to as normal as possible. Thanks Ben
