21.01.2022 Well, I am recovering nicely and have been able to put some time into development. This is the result. A vhf/uhf portable tv antenna. Lightweight and compact, good performance figures and is rotatable for horizontal and vertical polarisation. Am packaging it with a USB powered booster, so is perfect for the free camping environment. Limited units available now at only $75 posted to anywhere in Australia.
19.01.2022 How I am packaging them... The Chinese would have a label saying.. 'Remove timber before using' Then they go into a padded post bag... And off to the Post Office..

15.01.2022 An experiment. Its technical name is a double biquad. Probably adds 3db or so of gain to a normal biquad. A reflector on a normal biquad would achieve the same result and be smaller. May put a mesh reflector on this to check the increase in gain. Should be extremely powerful. Turned out to be a bit unwieldy for general camping. Probably more useful on a house. Interesting experiment although am not likely to market it.
13.01.2022 Just an update. Have had to put production of antennas on hold for medical reasons for a few weeks. Finally allowed to go home next Wed. Hopefully I can start building again soon. I will be coming back for ongoing procedures, but bringing all the bits and pieces with me.. yes.. even the 3d printer.. watch this space.. lol
12.01.2022 Slight change to the marine antenna prototype. As there are quite a few vertical transmitters up and down the coast, I have added a vertical dipole. Also changed the booms to 12mm aluminium. Easier to build..
08.01.2022 Its quite an impressive antenna, but dont just take my word for it. Check out the numbers on the test gear. Run it past a Foxtel or TV antenna installer. This is behind a colorbond clad building with the transmitting tower 35klm away.
05.01.2022 Updated the website, now more friendly for portable devices. Also started Google AdWords for a while to hopefully achieve a few more sales. Been working as if a full time job. 01.01.2022 Well its good to be home after the tonsilectomy. Next step is a bit of radiation and chemo... But in the words of the song... Nothings going to stop us now... I have been furiously improving and building... Have incorporated the vhf telescopic elements into the base unit.. Much neater.. Off to Townsville early next month for the next step, but taking everything to build with me...
