25.01.2022 The Noorat Gun Club is pleased to announce that it is now open for practise on our usual Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons. Unfortunately, social distancing rules still apply and the club rooms will remain closed but fire drums outside will be available to keep warm.

24.01.2022 Great news! With the new easing of restrictions for regional Victoria, we are proud to announce that we are able to start shooting and competing again. The usual 4 square metre rule applies and face masks are still mandatory, but yes, we are able to compete again. Our next competition / practise night will tomorrow night, Thursday 17th of September, and then our next weekend shoot will be the 26th of September with two memorial shoots and two state night events!

23.01.2022 Congratulations to Travis Horsburgh on winning the Les Reicha Memorial Double Barrel this weekend with a score of 104/104 in a great shoot off with Polecat. We were blessed with perfect sunny weather for the day and 8 squads in attendance. We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in social distancing and hand sanitising around the club which proves why our sport of clay target shooting is a perfect sport that can continue on during these hard times. See you all next month!

23.01.2022 Big day / night shoot this Saturday! Be sure not to miss it

23.01.2022 **AGM Meeting** . Tonight, Wednesday the 17th at 7:30pm

21.01.2022 Congratulations Mouse on winning the Peter McDonald Memorial double barrel today at Colac Gun Club in tough windy and wet conditions. Great shooting !

20.01.2022 It's that time of year ! Time to get that ham you need for Christmas, so come along to finish off the year of barely any shooting at The Noorat Gun Club

19.01.2022 What a great weekend shooting with Timboon Field & Game coming Noorat to defend the Lane Trophy Rusty Rabbit Trap. This year the program consisted of 50 targets Double Barrel, then 50 targets Sporting, all shot at Noorat in one day. It was a great format and thanks to Timboon setting a fantastic array of targets on their sporting setup at layout 4. The scores were super tight for the day and in the end only 8 points seperated both clubs! ... Timboon did a great job defending the crown with some solid scores in the double barrel, but it wasn't enough to keep Noorat from taking the trophy back for 2020. Timboon Field & Game - 812/1000 Noorat Gun Club - 820/1000 Thanks Timboon F&G for such an enjoyable day and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

17.01.2022 Tomorrow, 11am start! 50tgt Double Barrel then 50tgt Sporting. Noorat vs Timboon for the Rusty Rabbit Trap is on!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to Andrew Smith on his efforts at the Colac Christmas Shoot last weekend. Due to covid, the Jeff Holt Memorial was missed earlier in the year, so it was combined into the weekends events. The weather was wintery and difficult but it didn't stop Smithy dominating and taking out the Double Barrel, Single Barrel, AA in the Points and the High Gun on a total of 124/125! Awesome effort mate

14.01.2022 ** Great News ** We are back competing as of Thursday and Saturday! Social distancing rules still apply but we are able to compete and start shooting again. A few small changes for the short term, there won't be our usual afternoon tea spread and we will be shooting 5 per lane to help adhere to social distancing regulations. We won't be shooting Handicap until restrictions ease & instead will be shooting single barrel this weekend as a replacement event.... Will be great to see everyone back at the club after such a long hiatus, see you all soon!

12.01.2022 A Change of Conditions!! There has been much discussion around the traps regarding the wearing of masks while shooting. The position has been "you must wear yo...ur mask at all times!" THIS HAS CHANGED!! After consultation with DHHS and Sport & Rec Victoria ....... it is NOT compulsory to wear masks while shooting! You can take your mask off while on the trap. BUT ..... you must carry your mask with you and put it on as soon as you finish shooting and before leaving your final laneway. Masks MUST be worn at all other times. See more

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Tom Justin for his efforts for winning the President's Double Barrel at Warrnambool Clay Target Club yesterday with the only perfect score of 50/50. Awesome work Tom!

09.01.2022 2020 STATE DTL CARNIVAL CANCELLED! Last night the VCTA Executive met and decided that due to the current 'lockdown' regulations and border closures, and in the ...best interests of the health, safety and well-being of the members, that the 2020 State Carnival is cancelled. Many thanks to all sponsors and members that have assisted with the planning to this point of time. The Executive hopes that we will overcome this pandemic in the soonest possible time and return to our shooting programs safely. In the meantime ... stay safe and stay well! See more

02.01.2022 Congratulations to our winners that braved the very cold and wintery conditions on Saturday. It definitely made things quite difficult with James Hayden winning the Len Densley Memorial Double Barrel with the only 25/25 and Greg Harrington winning the Kevin Densley Memorial Points Score with 74/75. Greg then went on to win the Handicap with 24/25 from 21m and earnt himself a metre! The night shooting was less than ideal, with squalls of rain constantly blowing through. In the end, James Hayden managed to hit 45/50 to win the 50tgt State Night Single Barrel. Thanks for everyone braving the cold and coming along, it was great to see everyones faces once again, even though they were covered with masks.
