25.01.2022 What a weekend! A huge thanks to Darwin Supercars and Supercars for letting us join the show at the CoreStaff Recruitment Darwin Supersprint! A big congratulations also to Top End Drift Association TEDA for joining the program this year, hopefully the locals can represent together again at future events. I personally would like to make a massive thanks to Garry Dempsey. He put in an enormous effort at a very short notice to help get us on the program for the weekend and with...out his huge effort and perseverance it just wouldn’t have happened, so thank you Garry! A big thank you must also go to TERRA NT and Hidden Valley Drag Strip for their very generous lending of their club sheds for our pit bays. Thanks guys - we really appreciate it! A final shout out to all of the amazing officials and volunteers over the weekend. You guys and girls do an outstanding job to put on a great event - so thank you Fingers crossed we are back again in 2021! Tim Nicol Photography

23.01.2022 Evening to all NAMSC member's. Firstly I'd like to put out an apology for the delay in opening entries to next weekend's event on 18/19th July. As such we have now opened entries for the event next weekend with entries closing at 11:59pm on 16 July 2020.... Please get your entries in ASAP. To enter, visit https://www.namsc.org.au/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=223 Again we apologise for the delay, but looking forward to seeing you all back on track or trackside next weekend! 22.01.2022 Congratulations to all the winners!

21.01.2022 Friday night saw the running of the pentultimate round of the 2020 NT Motorkhana Series and the return of side-by-side courses to provide a visual comparison of... driver performances. Several driver battles resulted, with series leader Travis Humm and NT Titles holder Adam Cullen each taking the fastest time on several courses. Humm’s Mazda MX5 proved victorious with four wins to Cullen’s two in the Holden Astra, enough for Travis to continue his perfect score for the series whilst Cullen retains second. Kylie Westbrook and Robert Newland similarly battled for third place, but were so evenly matched that they each took three third and three fourth places, resulting in a tie for third place for the event. This result was enough to take Westbrook up to third for the series and Newland up to fourth. Only one point separated four drivers across fifth through eighth places. Andrew Harding and Connor Maher tied for fifth on 147 points, with Jennie Cordingley seventh on 146 and David Harding eighth on 145. In the Junior championship, Connor dominated, with Miya Millington second and Ben Craig third. In the Ladies championship Westbrook was first, Cordingley second and Millington third. Thanks to Travis Humm, Kylie Westbrook, Ray Henry and Jake Kroonstuiver for giving their time as officials and making the event happen! The final round of the 2020 NT Motorkhana Series will be held Friday 23 October under lights, with a presentation event on Sunday 25 October in conjunction with the NAMSC Fun Day. We look forward to seeing you at both events! See more

21.01.2022 Round 2 shannons series starys in 30 minutes. Small numbers this weekend but hopefully close racing. Good luck today everyone

21.01.2022 Thanks to those that responded to express their interest in the proposed 2020 Rejex Rally. Numbers were lower than expected and some challenges arose with making the event happen in the short timeframe. In order to ensure that the Rejex Rally continues to provide an enjoyable and quality experience for all participants, we will stick with the decision to not proceed with a 2020 event and focus efforts on the 2021 Rejex Rally. Until then the motorkhana series continues with 2...020 Motorkhana Series - Round Three under lights at Hidden Valley Raceway on Friday 17 July, followed by three more rounds plus an NT Titles event. For those not looking to compete, there are opportunities available to become qualified officials. Motorsport clubs like North Australian Motor Sports Club (NAMSC) rely on the support of dedicated officials to fill a number of roles including general officials, event secretaries, timekeepers, scrutineers, stewards and event directors. These roles provide a great opportunity to get close to the action, receive training and development, and build friendships with fellow motorsport enthusiasts. If this interests you, please contact us and we can help guide you on where to start and what options are available.

14.01.2022 After the delays due to COVID, the 2020 Motorkhana Championship was able to resume with Round Two held on Friday 19 June at Hidden Valley. There was a great tu...rn out, with many returning competitors and some new faces. The courses were challenging, with the very first for the night including the use of reverse gear. Scott Spencer set the fastest time in his Mazda RX7, followed by Travis Humm in a Mazda MX5. Humm took the lead on the second course, less than half a second faster than his wife Kylie Westbrook, also sharing the MX5. On the third course, David George drove his Ginetta G15 neatly to beat Humm by 0.38 of a second. The others could not come close, with Adam Cullen taking third fastest time 2.01 seconds behind Humm, and just 0.08 seconds ahead of Westbrook. Spencer was back on top for the fourth course followed by George, Humm and then Cullen. For the final course, Cullen managed to take a win with 21.78 seconds versus 22.25 for second placed Humm and 22.84 for Spencer in third. The close times and changing finishing order through the night meant the event results were tight. Travis Humm took the win with 174 points, with Scott Spencer second on 170, just beating Adam Cullen on 169 points. Thanks to the volunteers who helped make the event happen, especially Ray Henry, Richard Purnell, Jennie Cordingley, Wilasinee Namfon Moulding and Jake Kroonstuiver. Round Three of the 2020 Motorkhana Series will be held under lights at Hidden Valley on Friday 17 July. Rounds Four and Five are scheduled for 21 August and 2 October respectively. The NT Motorkhana Titles are planned for 12 September. Interest is also presently being gauged for a one day Rejex Rally on Saturday 1 August. If you would enter this event if held, please leave a message in the discussion on the NAMSC - North Australian Motor Sports Club Facebook group.

11.01.2022 Here is the 2021 Calendar for you all. Hope our interstate competitors can still find a way to get there cars up here and join in the year. All these dates include Lapsprinting sessions on the Sunday program. Be great to see some old faces return to the track and maybe some new faces as well. Spread the word and get those cars prepared. Lapsprinting this year will include four sessions throughout the day including a warm up lap, 3 hot laps and a cool down lap as a minimum. E...ntry fees haven't been confirmed as yet but might be just a $10 increase for all entries (excluding HQ Nationals and NT Titles). So don't forget we have Supercars returning in June with a very unique program, also have the HQ National Titles booked in the first weekend in July which will possibly see the inclusion of Excel Cup cars from South Australia. NT Titles will again be under lights (minimum entry number's needed). Thanks for the ongoing support supplied by our sponsors, Shannons Insurance, NT Government, MotorsportsNT, Jakes Steel and Welding, Custom Clothing Design.. See more

10.01.2022 Hello everyone! Thank you so very much for your patience while we try and navigate the world of new computers. Race results are now up for our Round 1, rosco memorial event. Please head over to natsoft and search the event from 21/06/2020. Again, thanks for your patience.

10.01.2022 Round Five, the final round of the 2020 NT Motorkhana Series was held under lights on Friday night at Hidden Valley. Series results for the 2020 series are base...d on points assigned for each round, minus each driver’s worst result. 2019 series champion Travis Humm had already wrapped up the 2020 series with a perfect score from the first four events. However several other positions were up for grabs. Humm took the wins in his Mazda MX5 on the first two courses, with Adam Cullen second in his Holden Astra, with Robert Newland and Kylie Westbrook third on the first and second courses respectively. The next pair of courses saw a change, with Cullen winning both, followed by Andrew Harding in his Nissan 180SX and Humm third. Harding’s performance continued to improve with him taking first place on the fifth course ahead of Cullen and then Humm, closely followed by fourth placed David Harding in an Austin Mini. To finish the night, Humm took another win with Cullen taking yet another second place, and Kylie Westbrook third in the MX5 shared with Humm. Cullen’s consistency meant he took the event win with 176 points out of a possible 180, with Humm two points back. Andrew Harding had a one point advantage over Kylie Westbrook’s 162 leaving them in third and fourth places respectively. The series pointscore method Cullen finished second, but closed the gap to Humm to just 19 points. Westbrook similarly improved her points to secure third for the series, but Harding’s third place for the final round meant he also closed the gap and was in striking range had there been another round. In the Ladies championship, Kylie stamped her dominance by winning her fifth event for the year, with Jennie Cordingley second and Jennie’s granddaughter Miya Millington third, both for the event and the series. Of the young guns, Miya took her second event win, which was enough for her to secure the Junior championship, with Ben Craig second. As this was only Craig’s second NT Championship event he finished a respectable fourth but could not challenge for the series. We’d like to thank everyone that attended Friday’s event and those who helped with setup, running the BBQ, timing and packing up, especially Richard Purnell. NAMSC will hold its 2020 AGM & Presentation Night at The Buff Club on Tuesday 17 November. There will be a motorkhana category meeting from 6.00pm, which will include some discussion about plans for the 2021 series. A general club meeting will take place from 6.30pm with the AGM from 7.30pm followed by the presentation of 2020 awards. Competitors, friends and family are all welcome to attend and share in the celebrations. See more

10.01.2022 Email will be going out soon, but races reduced to 8 laps. Just a note for your fuel usage. Secretary

09.01.2022 Here is the 2021 Motorkhana Calendar for you all. Be great to see some old faces return to the track and maybe some new faces as well. Spread the word and get those cars prepared. Megakhana has moved from the Easter Weekend to the first weekend in May, so it will be a little cooler hopefully. Rejex Rally is still planned for usual weekend with more information to follow once confirmed. Most events are on Friday Nights but there a Saturday night and Sunday event in there as w...ell to ensure we work in with other clubs So don't forget we have Supercars returning in June with a very unique program, also have the HQ National Titles booked in the first weekend in July which will possibly see the inclusion of Excel Cup cars from South Australia. NT Titles will again be under lights (minimum entry number's needed). Thanks for the ongoing support supplied by our sponsors, Shannons Insurance, NT Government, MotorsportsNT, Jakes Steel and Welding, Custom Clothing Design.. Have a great year

09.01.2022 In what was a close battle, Round Three of the 2020 NT Motorkhana Series was held at Hidden Valley on Friday 17 July. With six courses run, five different driv...ers managed to set the fastest times. There were several instances where drivers were separated by only one-hundredth of a second! RX7 driver and Round Two runner-up Scott Spencer had a tougher night, with three sixth place results limiting his points somewhat. A win on the fifth course was enough to help him score fourth for the event at 160 points, followed by motorkhana stalwart David Harding at 156 points thanks to his win on the fourth course in his Austin Mini. Adam Cullen took the win on the second course, supported by two second place and two third place results. Unfortunately the high quality of the competition meant that poor driving on the third course meant Cullen and his Astra scored only seventh place and a total of 168 points for third outright. Series leader Travis Humm had three third place results to start his night, followed by a fourth, then improving to a second and finally a first for him and his Mazda MX5. Conversely David George started well with alternating first and second places for the first four courses the only driver to set the fastest time on more than one course. These results were followed by a sixth and then a fourth in his Ginetta G15 micro sportscar. The result was that both drivers ended up tied on 170 points, sharing the event win. The series was joined by newcomer Connor Maher in his Nissan 350Z, bringing a challenge to the Junior category. Facing off with Connor at Round Three was Ian Moulding in a Holden Astra. While Moulding was only in his third competition round, the extra experience allowed him to take the event win. Both drivers show a great deal of promise to be future outright contenders and are already closely matched, with their fifth course results separated by just 0.29 seconds! His result means Moulding takes the lead on the Junior championship. Kylie Westbrook did not face any competition at Round Three for the Ladies championship, thereby retaining the lead. The Round Three outright results mean that Travis Humm continues as yet unbeaten with all of the available 120 points. The gap to second placed Adam Cullen has opened up to 23 points, with Scott Spencer in third on 88 points and a pack of other drivers hot on his heels and ready to steal a podium position. Confirmation of the date for Round Four is pending, with a date in late August targeted. Keep an eye on the North Australian Motor Sports Club (NAMSC) website and Facebook for more information.
