23.01.2022 Attention all who are attending the Grand Final. There are a few changes that we ALL have to accept and follow Grand final day. These are stipulations from SA Health. ONLY PLAYERS AND OFFICALS ARE ALLOWED ON THE OVAL DURING THE WHOLE DAY... This means no spectators at all during the day on the oval. No quarter time huddles No kicking footy by spectators before, during or after games No running out to congratulate players post game No sitting on the oval. Etc etc etc After the match teams will do a lap of honour so you get to see them but please don’t come onto the oval. Presentation will be near the spectators fence for your photo opportunities. Banners can be held by officials on the oval so water boys, trainers, team managers and coaches. But No spectators. Don’t mean to be blunt but we don’t want to be shut down half way through cause people aren’t following the rules. This all comes from SA Health so don’t shoot the messenger. Clubs please share to your pages.

02.01.2022 A HUGE THANKYOU During this footy season I’ve commentated 12 games of regional Footy..mainly NEFL but also from NAFA & APFL.....I just wanted to take this opp...ortunity to thank the people that made it possible for me to do it. A HUGE THANKYOU TO... *ALL of the NEFL clubs, Southern Flinders & Bute Football clubs who made the covered games throughout the year possible (particularly the Presidents & Committees of the clubs) *the League/Associations who allowed it to happen...special mention to NEFLs Secretary Mel Helbig who has been brilliant and more often than not doing MORE than she needed to *the behind the scenes generosity...for example business’ from each club that let us use their trucks for commentary positions....fantastic! *ALL the special guests and anyone that helped in any way from all the clubs that joined me each game...with a special mention to Andy Parkinson from RSMU that helped with all finals even when his team wasn’t playing. *ABC for allowing me to use the outside broadcast gear...they have been very supportive...with a special mention to Simon Rose whose help has been brilliant & very much appreciated. & finally *to all the viewers/listeners who’ve hopefully enjoyed the coverage...the comments and feedback have been appreciated. It’s been a difficult time for all clubs/players/supporters of regional footy & although at times we unfortunately had some issues with the audio while doing the coverage hopefully it’s been beneficial to those who haven’t been able to get to the games. I had a great time doing it...made some good mates along the way & I hope we can do the same thing again in the future with some fine-tuning and improvements so regional sport can get out there and be recognised the way it deserves to be. Until next season...enjoy the summer sports, stay safe, take care & let’s look forward to an easier 2021 footy and netty season
