24.01.2022 Just a reminder for all our school families and friends, this weekend is our Busy Bee! Open Day is just around the corner and so its all hands on deck to make our school look extra shiny on the day. If youve got any time to contribute (even half an hour is great!), then we would love to see you. Coffee/cake/morning tea is provided for the worker bees and kids are welcome too. 23.01.2022 Today Room 5 made some measurements of growth rates in their garden beds and recorded their progress on sketch diagrams. They also did some awesome artwork on the sides of the chicken hotel and spray painted some hub caps that will shortly adorn the garden as 'flower art' - great work everybody! A big 'thank you' to all the volunteers who have helped out in the garden during Term 1. There's plenty more fun planned for Term 2 in our awesome outdoor area so watch this space and come and join in Wishing you all a happy and restful Easter

23.01.2022 The veggie gardens been exploding with produce since the holiday break and Mr. Rs brigade of little green thumbs did a great job of harvesting some of the spoils this week. Theres still plenty of delicious veg waiting to fulfil its destiny during our highly anticipated cooking session in Week 3 - timetables for each class will be available through your class reps next week so please come along if youre free and enjoy our wonderful learning space up the back with your very own mini culinary geniuses in the making

20.01.2022 Just sending all our support and encouragement to our amazing year 2/3 soccer team The North Freo Dingos who, with very little experience, have managed to ascend their 5-aside league as far as the Grand Final tonight! Good luck Dingos!! What an amazing result!

17.01.2022 Thanks so much to all the kids, parents, staff & teachers who helped out and came along this morning to share in our celebration of the great bunch of men we have in our North Freo Primary School community at our Fathers Day Breakfast. It was so great to have everyone 'up the back' enjoying the rewards of all the hard work put in by our community in creating our incredible outdoor classroom. Even the weather was on our side with the rain holding off right to the very end whi...ch gave us a chance to truly appreciate the new under cover area. And congratulations to the three winners of our raffle hampers who were lucky enough to take home one of the stunning boxes made by the extremely talented Dave Eastwood which we filled with everyone's generous donations. It was a great morning for fundraising for our school, but more than that, a great opportunity to come together as a school community.

17.01.2022 School's so cool we even go there on the weekend The chickens were intrigued by Adams progress with the creek bed this morning. Things are shaping up nicely - come and have a look & join us for some morning tea @ 10.30am on Tuesday to thank Mrs. Janine Bersen for all her hard work over the last two years. The kids have been working on a surprise for her and we've heard whispers of some delish home baked goods as well as coffee from our awesome new machine hope you're all having a lovely weekend

17.01.2022 A huge and heartfelt thank you to all those who volunteered on our stall, donated delicious treats for us to sell, and purchased from our stall. We had a very busy and rewarding day, making over $2,300 that the P&C can spend on the kids of NFPS! Thats an amazing result, partly due to generous donations we received from Harvey Beef, Dingo Sauce Co, Gesha coffee, Coles and the talented bakers of the North Freo community. If you have a plate, container, stand or board to pick u...p, they are on the bench in the staff room. Our little stall was absolutely the best part of the whole Election.

Well be offering:... - Sausage in bun, aka Democracy Sausage, very kindly sponsored by Harvey Beef and Dingo Chilli Sauces if you like it spicy - Coffee, tea, hot chocolate - Cake, biscuits, etc - Bacon & Egg Roll - Homemade Dog Treats (tested and approved by Pepper) - Book stall The Election Stall is a great chance for us to raise money for the school in the broader community and WE NEED YOUR HELP! This is such an amazing and much-loved event in our community calendar and the standard is always incredible! 12.01.2022 Exciting times 'up the back' over the last few weeks - the paving for the new undercover area has been completed, the peas, beans and lettuce the kids planted in their veggie beds before the holidays are booming AND the fairies appear to have paid us a visit and decided to make a home in one of our most majestic trees!! As if that wasn't excitement enough, Adam & Neil have begun work on a creek bed that will capture the run-off from our shade structure and create a sensory-play-smorgasbord running down the slope adjacent to kindy. It's so awesome to see this taking shape so quickly Garden club will continue every Friday morning this term and all are welcome so pop in for a cuppa and have a look at all the fun goings-on whenever you are free

Please share with all of NFPS family and friends ********************************************************************************* This term we are doing a fundraiser with a difference - we've teamed up with the fantastic Freo start-up 'Lifecykel' mushrooms to bring you a trifecta of awesomeness with sustainability, social enterprise & a delicous, home-grown end-product all rolled into one card box - what more could one ask for, right ? : ) So how does it work? You order your very own Lifecykel mushroom box using the form that will come home with the kids in the coming days - the cost per box is $25 (less than the RRP) with $10 from each sale going directly to our school. We wait approximately 3 weeks for delivery of our schools order. You collect your mushroom boxes from school You grow fresh gourmet oyster mushrooms right out of the box on your very own kitchen counter in 10-14 days! Just spray eat and repeat. Receive 3 harvests over 12 weeks. 08.01.2022 Today we had some junior 'green thumbs' helping us move some pretty special boulders 'up the back' for our creek bed! Neil S. salvaged the rocks from a garden in Cottesloe and Toby, Adam & their little helpers worked diligently all morning to relocate them to their new home - awesome work everyone

We're all a-buzz with preparations for our annual Open Day and can't wait to showcase our beautiful school with you all on Sunday 4th November. This much-loved, key event in our school calendar is made all the more enjoyable every year by our infamous Great North Fremantle Cake Bake (more details to follow...). This is an event not to be missed!
