25.01.2022 The Community Centre Committee is getting ready for opening with small groups soon. We are waiting for the NSW Orders to allow indoor activities in public buildings. In the meantime we are looking for volunteers intetested in starting the coffee shop lead by Trish Parnell. 23.01.2022 Are you looking to obtain a boat license? Saturday 4 July from 10 am to approx 2.30 pm Sea School Western Sydney - Jenny Nugent is providing a course for children over 12 years and adults here at North Arm Cove Community Hall.... COVID 19 Procedures will be followed. A minimum number of places are available. The course covers license theorey and testing, all steps are covered on the same day! It includes the Practical Boating Course, the Boating Knowledge Course and the Boating Knowledge Test. For more information see https://www.seaschool.com.au/recreational-boat-licence/ Cost is $170 including Hall Hire and light lunch. Normally the cost is $260 . PWC - Surf Ski Upgrade - $50. Once you have completed the theorey you need to complete a log book of practical hours prior to obtaining the license. Barista training with Bianca was a great sucess this week with Coffee Volunteers at the Comnunity Centre. The volunteer coffee shop,yet to.be named....is getting closer to an official opening.

22.01.2022 KITTENS plus Mum......... you will recall my post about three weeks ago regarding the box of five kittens and mother cat found in the Bush.... well, they are all thriving and ready for new homes. Two kittens are spoken for so we have Mum and three kittens left. They are eating solids and we presume are about a month old. If you are able to take one or more, pleaese contact Jan Walker on 0411 433 281 otherwise they are destined for the RSPCA in the next day or so

15.01.2022 Big thank you for two generous donations towards the coffee machine for the new Coffee Shop at North Arm Cove Community Centre today.... one from the Keep Fit ladies and the other from Ken and Wilma Greenway - well see you over a cuppa soon!

14.01.2022 Mid Coast Council is moving on with the development of a Community Plan for the locality of North Arm Cove including the non urban areas, village, highway and rural residents. Sarah Wilkinson the Senior Engagement Officer is responsible for the process. Last year the NACRA and the Community Centre prepared a draft set of priorities to be included in the plan which is a start.... Now NACCAI are working with council to help start the engagement process. A drop in BBQ is planned for 12 noon to 2 pm 29 August MCC will start the development in early August. Importantly a Steering Committee will be established with a cross section of reps from the locality, that is the village, across the highway, non urban landholders and residents who live in the area up to the Rock. Post cards inviting residents will be delivered soon to outline the process.

13.01.2022 Community Centre preparing to reopen soon. Restrictions are due to be lifted on the 13 June for opening of community halls in NSW. The Committee is waiting for the Covid 19 management plans to be published by MCC prior to opening. ... The hall will be given a refresh with paint and thorough clean up in the next couple of week. We will stay in touch and let you know and promote activities asap.

10.01.2022 Line Dancing with Myall Coast Line Dancers at North Arm Cove Community Hall There will be no class on Monday the 24th August as we are away in Narrandera. Kick It Up & Myall Coast Line Dancers Paul McQueen Teacher... Mobile: 0438639150 Line dancing is a great sport and ranges from an easy work out for people with limited movement to a harder one for those wanting higher level exercises. Its up to you the amount of energy that goes into the dances, but they are still great fun. Plus the other people in the class make for a real social and entertaining afternoon - its all about fun. And did you know Line Dancing improves memory and all the movement irrespective of level provides the benefits of an aerobic workout. Yes it helps maintain a healthy heart and also is great for mental wellness. There is no age limit as memory improvement is useful for all ages whether junior, senior, middle aged or older. We meet every Monday at 2.00 pm for a two hour class at the North Arm Cove Community Hall. The first hour of class caters for beginners and those having slightly more line dance experience. In the last hour Intermediate/Advanced dancers take to the floor. Why not give it a go, do your heart some good. Hope to see you soon. Cheers Paul

The sanding and polishing is complete at the Community Centre looks too good to use, however ready tomorrow Excersise Class followed by Zumba and Line Dancing in the pm. Thank you to John Bowerman Emporium Sanding for a fantastic job and a reduced price.

06.01.2022 North Arm Cove Community Hall has been delighted to received a three door commercial refrigerator - generously donated by Coralie Wilks and her husband Brian. This will greatly assist our function hire for party catering, wedding receptions and gatherings.

Kate was known for her wit, engagement and true altruism. 02.01.2022 The Community Centre is closed this week for floor sanding. The Committee elected to spend the funds they have raised over the years on renewing the floor with a great quote from Emporium Sanding as an investment for the future. Work started late on Tuesday due to a power outage howver sanding and polishing should be completed ready for use on Monday 20 July however may be delayed.
