24.01.2022 The Belsouth Jets flying high after their U13/2 grand final win

23.01.2022 Due to the extreme heat and likely smoke haze, Friday night futsal has been cancelled. As per the NCF hot weather policy, teams will be given the option to cancel or defer the game. Both teams must agree to a rescheduled game otherwise the game will be cancelled and recorded as a 3-3 draw. Deferred games will be played within 3 weeks at the discretion of the NCF. All Sunday games are still on at this stage.

22.01.2022 Grand Finals weekend at NCF and we're looking forward to some great futsal. Congrats to every team that's made the Grand Final. Teams will be allowed to have 10 spectators each (children are included in the count) plus 3 team officials. And don't forget the NCF AGM which will be held straight after the last Grand Finals at Lyneham Netball Centre, 5.30-6.00pm. Please support junior futsal in the ACT by attending the AGM.

19.01.2022 The now annual Venue Managers v Referees futsal game was held today and even with the Referees refereeing, the Venue Managers came out victors in some hard fought games. A big thank you to all our venue managers and referees who do such a great job throughout the season.

19.01.2022 It's a big weekend coming up! All teams in U10-U18 have games on this weekend (except for those teams who have byes). We have been working on the draws and all competitions will have semi-finals (1v4 and 2v3) and play-offs (5v6, 7v8, 9v10 and 11v12). Draws will be online by Tuesday morning at the latest, some draws are already live. Grand Finals for the two semi-final winners will all be held at Lyneham Netball Centre on Friday 28 February and Sunday 1 March.

18.01.2022 We know that there are lots of players/teams/coaches out there wondering about the upcoming futsal season at NCF. We are currently in talks with all of our regular venues about what we need to do to run a futsal season under CovidSafe restrictions. NCF is still planning to run some junior futsal competitions this season so we are hoping to have the details to you all by next week. Stay tuned for season details.

15.01.2022 North Canberra Futsal games resume this weekend and each team will be allowed 7 spectators plus 3 team officials so a total of 10 all together. We ask that teams take responsibility for ensuring they have no more than 7 spectators (which includes children). 12.01.2022 Flashback Friday Who would have believed that the last time we had to cancel games was in February 2018 when North Canberra was flooding! We're hoping for some rain this weekend but not quite that much. Futsal is back on this weekend at all venues.

09.01.2022 Welcome back for the last part of the 2019/20 season. We know lots of NCF families have been affected by the fires and then the Canberra hail storm so we hope you are doing OK. Unfortunately the forecast for extreme heat (42C) and smoke haze means that Friday night games are very likely to be cancelled. We will make a decision tomorrow based on advice from BOM and ACT Health but just wanted to give you all the heads up.

09.01.2022 What a way to finish the grandfinal weekend. A nail biting game between the U16/1 Los Chavos and the Strikers going to penalty shootout. The Strikers winning 3-2 in the end. Well done to all.

There are still some vacancies for teams in the following competitions: U12 Open Div 2 We are in the process of contacting all teams who have nominated and will let you know when your players can register on Play Football. Registrations are now open for futsal skills clinics for U4-U9 players.

08.01.2022 The Pumas used their pace today in a very close game with The Stars winning the U10 girls final by one goal. Some great skills and sportsmanship on display.

07.01.2022 From this weekend North Canberra Futsal games are now able to have three spectators per team at all venues. With three team officials and three spectators that means parents will be able to see several games this season. Spectators are required to sit 1.5m apart in the designated spectator seating outside the team bench. Great news for all NCF families so get your rosters organised now.

05.01.2022 More smoke haze is expected to roll into Canberra later today causing a health alert. Futsal games are still on tonight at the netball centre. We ask everyone to keep the doors closed so we can keep the smoke out. If you have any respiratory conditions then please make sure you have medication with you. A Sports Medicine Officer will be at the venue tonight near the canteen, so please see them immediately if you have any breathing issues.

02.01.2022 Due to both extreme heat and the State of Emergency Declaration in the ACT, all NCF futsal games have been cancelled this weekend. The Netball Centre has been closed for the weekend and the ACT Government is advising all sporting organisations to cancel any non-essential events. All games for this round will be cancelled and recorded as a washout. There will be no rescheduling of any games from either Friday night or Sunday. We hope that everyone in the NCF community understands that this decision was made in the best interests of all our junior players and their families. Please take care and stay safe this weekend.
