15.01.2022 Townsville Outrigger take part in the first post COVID race of the year... North Queensland Ocean Paddle Series 22km Cowley Beach to Etty Bay, OC1, 2 and skis. A great event! Good to see paddlers/friends from Hekili Outrigger Canoe Club too. Can't wait for Cape to Cape :)

15.01.2022 The first day of a weekend of racing at Pallarenda. Day 1 started beautifully, was full of short intense races, lots of medals won and and a BBQ well run. Bring on tomorrow!

13.01.2022 Why our club is the best... we may not be the strongest paddlers in the world, we may not have the perfect technique but what we Do have is an amazing team spirit, supportiveness a 'let's do it's' attitude. Yesterday's Cape to Cape evidenced this in spades. The behind the scenes organisation, the club members helping get the canoes on the barge, the morning after crew returning the craft to our beach and of course all those who took part in very tricky conditions... 14 paddlers, 13 in the long course 1 OC6, 2 OC2, 2 OC1 and a ski & 1 OC1 in the short course. Congratulation to all, Col, Greer, Michael, Lesley, Irene, Megan, Tom, Col, Neil, Errol, Fi, Brad, Greg and Angie.

13.01.2022 What an incredible weekend of paddling! A big congratulations to everyone who competed, what a great community of outriggers we have! A few special shout-outs: to Paddle Life TV for the awesome coverage (check out their footage below if you haven't already!); to The Feel Good Foodie Food Truck for keeping us all fed and caffeinated Sunday, & to all teams who travelled from far and wide to compete in our very own slice of paradise. Thank you! And last but not least, a massive thank you to our very own TOCCHEADS for all of your hard work and support, you all made this weekend possible! What a crew!

01.01.2022 All Sunday paddlers.. Forecast.. for Sunday is cloudy, winds of 3 knots starting as a southerly picking up to 7 knots NE, swell of .5m and maximum temperature of 24. Tide.. the tide is turning around 11.30 and will be starting to drop (outgoing).... Suggestion... if you are doing water changeover bring warm clothes to change into when you are in the support boat and at the end, it will get quite cold with the wind chill. But don't forget your sunscreen! Please see and share our yachtbot and Paddlelife TV info on an earlier post and don't forget to do our QR COVID check in !
