18.01.2022 CAN YOU HELP? *WIN for your NurtureGroup* It’s been a very challenging start to the year and with major fundraising initiatives postponed or cancelled for 2020, Tuesday 19th May will be more important than ever for Miracle Babies and all of our families. We have just 24 hours to raise $100K to help ensure that our support services can continue and reach as many families with a premature or sick newborn like your own across 2020 and into next year. On this day, ALL donations ...will be quadrupled, with thanks to our Matching Donors. We would love if you could help us reach our goal by sharing on social, via email, texts etc. In return for your support, the team that raises the most will WIN a special celebratory, ‘post-iso’ get together (when safe to do so). Like you, we are looking forward to finally being able to see each other again! We have 24 hours only, all donations can be made ON TUESDAY 19th MAY directly via your team link below. You can start sharing from now though and ask people to save the date! https://www.charidy.com/mira/NurtureGroupNorthEastMelbourne Thank you! Your support will go a long way for all of our families right now.

18.01.2022 Dear NurtureGroup Families, We hope you are all keeping safe and well during the pandemic and looking forward to overcoming these challenging times very soon. Our NurtureGroups remain on hold, however we are closely monitoring our service areas over the coming weeks as restrictions start to ease. We would greatly appreciate your comments below regarding your thoughts around attending NurtureGroup for your family. We are working hard to review and structure delivery of servi...ces to safely support families within the limitations caused by COVID-19. Please know that we are doing all we can in supporting families during this time and planning for a return to our usual face to face services at some point in the future. We have introduced NurtureTime Online for families to connect and be supported during isolation and have now increased these to 2 sessions per day. You can register for any of the sessions at https://www.miraclebabies.org.au//register-for-nurturetim/ Our NurtureLine, 24 hour family support helpline remains available for families or you can email [email protected] Wishing you all love, health and happiness From the Miracle Babies Team

11.01.2022 Wow! We are blown away. Our 24 Hour Quadruple Giving Day managed to raise more than $115K and more than $29K came from our NurtureGroup families! We are so inspired and overwhelmed by your support and want to send a HUGE thank you to everybody who helped. Congratulations also to Nepean NurtureGroup who were the highest fundraisers, raising $4,492! Thank you all again!

10.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT update regarding our NurtureGroup's*** The health and safety of our miracle babies and their families is our priority and to continue to deliver our vision during this health risk in the safest ways possible. With great disappointment, Miracle Babies have made the decision to suspend all NurtureGroup's Australia wide for the next fortnight with a view of reassessing circumstances each fortnight. Families needing support over this time, please register on the link... below to our NurtureTime Online sessions and connect with other families across Australia. We will however continue to offer support for miracle families in the following ways: NurtureLine 1300 622 243 (1300 MBABIES) will remain available and accessible 24 hours 7 days a week. In light of most Neonatal Intensive Care Units being closed to only parental visitors, we will be offering several weekly NurtureTime Online sessions. Our NurtureProgram teams will be conducting these live sessions for all families nationally to connect and be supported during these difficult times. If you are a NICU or SCN family and wish to register, please do so here: https://miraclebabies.org.au//register-for-nurturetime-on/ Continue to wash hands (with water, soap and for 20 seconds), avoid large gatherings, self-isolate as much as possible and follow the guidelines of your local state health departments.Stay safe, take care and reach out if you need. #miraclebabies #prematurebabies #sicknewborns #NICU #SCN #selfisolate #washhands #NurtureGroup #NurtureTime #NurtureLine

07.01.2022 Good Afternoon, we hope everyone is keeping well during these times. Our NurtureGroups are still suspended for the moment, however we look forward to when we can restart NurtureGroup once restrictions are eased. We have now set up a private group for our NurtureGroup families for improved privacy. If you are a current family attending or interested in attending our Melbourne NurtureGroup please contact [email protected] so we can invite you to the new private group. For past families of NurtureGroup we wish you and your family all the best and please follow our main page for continued updates on premature and sick babies and their families.

02.01.2022 ***SURVEY, Can you help?*** The aim of this study, called ‘COHESION’, is to develop a Core Outcome Set for use in research studies of treatments for neonatal encephalopathy. Neonatal encephalopathy is a condition that can occur in newborn infants when they have had a lack of oxygen, and this can cause complications with the infant’s brain. Neonatal encephalopathy is one of the leading causes of brain injury in newborn infants.... How do I know if I can take part in this study? You can take part in this study if you are over 18 years of age and are a parent or other family member who care, or have cared for, an infant who has been diagnosed with and received treatment for neonatal encephalopathy. What will I have to do? If you are interested in taking part in this study, please email us at [email protected] and we can send you on a Participant Information Leaflet that gives more detail on this study. If you agree to take part in this study, we would like to ask you some questions. This is called a research interview. The interview will be done via a video call, using a video conferencing software called Zoom. The interview will take place at a day and time that suits you.
