17.01.2022 IMPORTANT AUSKICK UPDATE: It turns out weve jumped the gun on Auskick and are not cleared to return to training (whoops)! All other age groups are OK. There was a miscommunication between AFL (NSW) and our club on this matter. It seems crazy that Juniors have been cleared to train, but not Auskick. But these are crazy times! In fairness to the AFL it seems to be related to insurance side of things and largely out of their hands. There will be NO AUSKICK THIS SUNDAY and well provide further updates as they come to hand. Im sure well have some disappointed little people out there. Please apologise on our behalf and tell them were hoping that this is a very short delay (hopefully only this week).

07.01.2022 ** Return to Play update ** AFL NSW have updated the "Return to Play" protocols today: https://aflnswact.com.au/return-to-play/ Junior AFL (u11s, u13s, u15s & Youth Girls) will continue to train Wednesdays @ 4pm and Sundays @ 10:30am... Auskick will return Sunday July 19th (were not allowed to return any earlier than this) Our club is fully committed to meeting all requirements of the AFL COVID return to play protocols, keeping our players, parents, helpers, supporters and club and team officials safe. Karl Wisdom is the club COVID officer and any queries can be directed to Karl via 0477 312 505 or email [email protected]. Please sign on at training and use the provided hand sanitiser before and after training. For the Juniors, contact training resumes from July 1st. For our Auskickers, were so sorry for the delay and appreciate your patience. A lot of this stems from what is happening in Victoria and other locations where the virus is still active and they have much larger Auskick centres (some with several hundred Auskickers). Please keep practicing at home with family and friends and check back here for updates. Go Blues

05.01.2022 Hi Blues Family, Our covid safe "drop-in" day, for trophy collection, is confirmed for the morning of Saturday, October 24th (AFL Grand Final day). The location is Woopi Beach Reserve - look for us on the grassy area near the new SLSC, where the markets are usually held.... Drop-in sometime during your timeslot to say a quick hi and collect your trophies: Auskick 9:00am-9:45am Under 11s 9:45am-10:30am Under 13s 10:30am-11:15am If you have siblings in more than one timeslot, just come to one and collect them at the same time. I'm sure we'll have some footballs lying around if anyone wants to have a kick-to-kick in the park! (space permitting). The AFL Masters North Coast are having a game at 2pm at Brelsford Park, Coffs Harbour on the same day for all those who are interested. Open to mens/women/kids (we'll do a separate post on that with more details). Thanks again to everyone involved in making the most of a challenging 2020. We look forward to seeing you all in 2020! Go Blues

05.01.2022 Were back this Sunday morning at Centennial Oval for some footy training for our juniors Auskick 9am-10am. All other age groups 10:30am-Midday. We are following the "Return to Small Group Training Protocols", set by AFL NSW, to ensure small group training occurs in a safe, hygienic and controlled manner.... Here is a summary of how it will work: We will split the oval into 3 zones, with no more 10 people per zone (including coaches and helpers). See the image for an idea of the layout If we need more than 3 zones, we have the space beyond the goals at the southern end of the oval that can be used to create additional zones Once in a zone, you will remain in that zone until the conclusion of training Simple, non-contact, socially distanced activities only! Parents are asked to remain well off the field. Please dont congregate, and maintain social distancing at all times No access to change-rooms, canteen, wet areas etc. We must maintain a register of all attendees for contract tracing purposes and we recommend everyone with a phone installs the Covid-19 tracing app Our Covid-19 safety officer is Karl and he (and all volunteers) will be ensuring we operate in a safe and compliant manner I suggest you also check out the AFL North Coast Facebook page for more info & updates. Please comment or reach out directly if you have any questions. See you Sunday

04.01.2022 Please help out our venue sponsor! Seaview Tavern Woolgoolga has temporarily closed its Bar and Bistro due to the government restrictions, as a result of Covid-19. And please dont forget about our other retail sponsor, Top Town Meats Butchery @ 31 River Street, Woolgoolga (6654 2376). The big supermarket chains are already making a fortune at the moment with stock flying off the shelves, so please dont forget the locally owned businesses that are going to be struggling during this time. 01.01.2022 Hi Blues Family, This Sunday is our last game day of the season, with all teams are playing at home . We will be running one final training session to conclude 2020 next Wednesday (Sep 23rd). ... It will be a fun session with adults versus kids activities & matches! For all the helpers and parents who want to have some fun, make sure you bring your joggers! And for those who can't (or would rather not) that's fine, we'll pair up kids and make sure your child doesn't miss out (and us coaches are fully prepared to take on multiple kids. Haha). We won't be able to have the usual club presentation event this year, due to the covid restrictions around "gatherings", however, we are considering some kind of "drop in" event. This is tenantively being set for AFL Grand Final day (AFL grand final is at night this year, so the day is free). We'll provide an update at a later stage as to whether this is going ahead or not. Thanks and well done to everyone for a great year, the support has been amazing and hopefully we've given the kids some joy during a very challenging year! Go Blues
