14.01.2022 Due to Elphin Sports Centre being used as a COVID-19 testing facility, badminton will be unable to access the venue for the foreseeable future. Even though this is out of our control, we apologise for the delay and will keep you in the loop in regards to returning to play as we potentially seek another venue for social badminton.

13.01.2022 COVID-19 Dear all, During this period, the safety of our Badminton Tasmania community is our upmost priority.... Due to the Coronavirus, and the moving landscape across the world and locally, especially with sporting events and gatherings, we have made the incredibly hard decision at Badminton Tasmania to postpone all Badminton Tasmania sanctioned events until the end of May. This means the postponement of the following events: - City of Launceston; - GOSEN Tasmanian Teams Championships (including Bellchambers Cup); and - City of Hobart; and the - Yonex Come and Try sessions; A decision on the remainder of the Badminton Tasmania calendar, along with the above-mentioned events, will be made mid-May once more information becomes available. We thank everyone for their support in this matter and we hope that this postponement will be short as we all do our bit to stop this virus. If you have any concerns please contact Badminton Tasmania via email [email protected] We hope to see you all very soon back on the courts playing and officiating soon. For more information on potential changes in your area, we recommend you visit your local associations pages. Kind Regards Brent Munday President | Badminton Tasmania
