09.01.2022 With the beginning of the season being delayed due to COVID-19, we've delved into the archives to produce overall statistics covering our players throughout the NICL. To partner this, we will be doing a feature covering players from all grades. Matthew Messemaker, our NICL games played leader, features as our first player. Messy is strong across all facets of the game, and can find either the springs or the back net when needed with the bat, but it is his tall frame that ena...bles him to bowl with good pace and field balls on the 3-line no one else could possibly reach that often stand out. His arm is often utilised as a wicket-taking method thanks to his ability to throw the stumps down with deadly accuracy from the 3-line.
