25.01.2022 MELBOURNE CUP DAY! Our beer garden is now FULLY BOOKED for lunch on Melbourne Cup Day. Due to this we will have extremely limited space for walk ins during the day so it will be first in best dressed. We will be open from 11am.... We still have plenty of room for dinner and it is our $15 Pot and Parma so phone 5721 3741 if you would like to book a table! Due to the current restrictions and the fact there are no Wang Races this year we are unfortunately not having an event here tomorrow night Cheers! - the Northo Team

23.01.2022 We will be back open and operating as normal from 11am tomorrow! Don’t forget our kitchen is open today for takeaway meals, and our bottleshop is also open!

22.01.2022 Some updates following Dan’s announcement yesterday: - Masks are no longer required anywhere throughout the pub. Our staff could not be more relieved! - The density limit is now 2sqm per person throughout the entire pub with no other capacity limits, meaning the amount of patrons we can have will basically double.... - Our pool tables can reopen! We know a few of you have been eagerly waiting for our pool tables to open back up and today is the day! We are so thankful for all the support you have shown us throughout this nightmare of a year, and we are so happy that things are finally on the track back to normal! - The Northo Staff

16.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder that we are still checking ID’s for addresses. If you are asked for ID and aren’t able to confirm your address or you have a metro Melbourne address you will unfortunately be asked to leave. Please don’t be rude to our staff if this happens. The last thing we want to do is turn customers away, but unfortunately these are the rules at the moment. ... We are also fully booked today, so we won’t be able to accept many walk ins. You may come in to place bets, but if there is no room in the bar you will need to leave once you’re finished placing those bets. Cheers! - The Northo Staff

12.01.2022 Hi all! Some excellent news from the premier today! From 11:59pm tonight patron capacity will increase to a total of 100 inside and 200 outside for a cap of 300 patrons for the whole venue, meaning we can almost get back to normal!... The 4sqm rule still applies, so we will only be allowed a max of 20 in the bar and 10 in the function room, but we will now be able to have 70 patrons in our bistro area and 200 in our beer garden! We are under the impression that there are no longer limits per section and that only the 4sqm rule applies. Bookings will no longer be essential for small groups, but for groups of 8 or more we still urge you to book. We are unsure at this stage if there is still a limit of 10 people per table. Masks are still required indoors (unless seated) and are only required outdoors (unless seated) if you cannot properly social distance. Our pool tables still remain closed for the time being. We have contacted coronavirus support and they have advised us to keep them closed at this stage. We are so proud of all of our customers and Victoria as a whole for getting us to this stage! 12.01.2022 Good morning everyone! Just a quick update! Due to what happened in Kilmore, businesses must now take reasonable steps to confirm customers addresses. This means we will now be asking to check ID’s upon entry to the pub. ... Anyone with a Melbourne address, or anyone who is asked to provide their address and refuses/cannot confirm it to our satisfaction must be turned away. You are, however, allowed to get takeaway. Please keep this in mind when making bookings. If for any reason you have someone from Melbourne with you, or you yourself are from Melbourne, the individual will be turned away. Even those with legitimate reasons to be in regional Vic will be turned away, as the current Melbourne restrictions are supposed to travel with them. Please don’t be offended or rude when asked for ID by our staff, we are just following the rules and want to keep both our customers and staff safe. Cheers The Northo Team.

11.01.2022 RE: AFL Grand Final We will be showing the grand final this weekend, however due to the current restrictions we can only have 10 in our bar and 10 in our bistro. We will have the game on the projector in the bistro so if you would like to book a table in there please phone 5721 3741. Again, we can only have 10 people.... We will not be booking out the bar, it will be a first in best dressed scenario. We will also have the game on one of the TVs in the outdoor TAB area but unfortunately this is the best we can do for the beer garden. We were hoping they would lift restrictions a bit more yesterday in time for the game but they didn’t so this is the best we can do under these circumstances. Cheers! - the Northo Staff

08.01.2022 Good morning! We just wanted to let everyone know that our beer garden is FULLY BOOKED from 6pm tonight. Absolutely no room for walk ins after 6pm unless there is room inside. This includes people coming in for just drinks. If you come in during the day and do not have a booking for after 6pm and there is no room inside you will unfortunately need to leave. We will make sure people are aware of this as they come in.... We do still have a few spots left in our bistro and our function room for dinner. 06.01.2022 It’s that time of the week again! $15 Pot and Parma with 10 different parma toppings to choose from. Available both lunch and dinner* 12pm - 2pm and 6pm - 8pm... All $15 parmas come with your choice of 2 sides (chips, salad, mash and veg) and a pot of anything on tap, soft drink or house wine. You can even upgrade your pot to a schooner for only $2! Or upgrade your house wine for $2.50. Bookings for small groups are no longer essential, but for groups of 5 or more we do ask you to book so we can ensure we have a table set for you! 05.01.2022 *EDIT: there was some confusion around the amount of people we can have indoors. 40 is a total number for inside, not per indoor area so there is still a 10 person limit per space. As we have 3 indoor spaces (the bar, the bistro and the function room) we can fit 10 in each. We will be allowed 70 in the beer garden. UPDATE:... A little bit of good news today means we can now have more people in the pub from 11:59pm tonight! Bookings are preferred, especially on our busier days (Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) or if you are wanting to book in for a large group. 01.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. With Victoria going into stage 4 lockdown from 11:59pm tonight until 11:59pm Wednesday night, the pub will unfortunately be closed from tomorrow. All bookings made for during this time will need to be cancelled.... We will still be open for takeaway meals every day for both lunch and dinner. Phone 5721 3741 to order. Our bottleshop will also remain open from 11am until 8:30pm during this time. Hopefully this lockdown only lasts until Wednesday night and we will see you all back at 11am Thursday.
