25.01.2022 WEDNESDAY 19 AUGUST 2020 My goodness, our volunteers have been very busy lately in the foundry - trying hard to keep up with special orders for our customers. Ike and the woodwork team are also working hard, repairing items for customers and making new product to sell as well. ... We are also making headway with building a new, bigger, CNC machine to enable us to not only make patterns for casting but also to engrave aluminium and brass plate for one-off items such as dog tags, ID tags, and the like.

25.01.2022 DAY TWO of the ANNUAL STEAM FAIR I was privileged enough to be able to join Craig Marshall in his 1930 Chevrolet in today's Grand Parade... another wonderful day meeting lovely people from all around the world. The crowds were thrilled with all the different vehicles we had on-site this weekend.

22.01.2022 SUNDAY 15 DECEMBER 2019 Today was our last "Open to the Public" day for 2019. Our volunteers have been working hard all year and deserve a break, so they'll be back on board and ready for the first day back in 2010 - Sunday 5 January from 7am (or thereabouts, they may want to sleep in still!!) MERRY CHRISTMAS and a SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to all our followers here in Facebook-land.

21.01.2022 FRIDAY 27 MARCH 2020 Please note that our workshop is currently CLOSED to members of the Public until further notice. At this time our members are still welcome to come down HOWEVER, if you are unwell in any way, please, for your own health and safety and those of our other members, STAY HOME and STAY SAFE.

21.01.2022 THURSDAY 2 JANUARY 2020 Happy New Year to all our Fb Followers! Just a reminder we open this Sunday, 5 January, at 7am for our first Markets of 2020.

21.01.2022 With respect for ANZAC day the normal Sunday Markets will not be operating. Instead we have a fabulous special weekend market held on Saturday with lots of stalls and fun for the kids to enjoy. Jumping castles, animal farm and pony rides. ... Devour a yummy breakfast of waffles and more or have your tastebuds sing with a satay sauce to make your mouth water. Shop antiques, great records for your collection, a good book to read, fabulous new fashions, decor for the man cave, a rustic bird feeder for your locals or satisfaction for that sweet tooth and much more! Join us this Saturday from 7am - 1pm at Old Petrie Town.

17.01.2022 TUESDAY 20 AUGUST 2019 It seems our custom-made Dog Tags are becoming rather popular! Due to increased operating costs we have had to put our price of these beauties up to $10 each. Still a bargain at that price as we use 3mm aluminium plate for durability and longevity. These tags will last as long as your furbaby needs an ID tag for!!... PS, if you've already got an order in for a tag, you will not be charged the new price.

13.01.2022 Hi All, The Steam Fair will be on over the weekend of July 3 and 4. We are still governed by any change made by Queensland Health and advise from the State Gove...rnment about Covid restrictions. We are working with the park management on the Covid Safe event plan to make certain that we run a safe event for all to attend. As we get closer to the event we will post any changes as soon as they happen. If you would like to attend as a visitor everything will be as user friendly as we can make it but social distancing and contact tracing will be most important. If you would like to attend with an exhibit (Vintage Vehicle, heritage machinery, Model engineering or steam toys) please email [email protected] and we will get the correct area leader to contact you. Thank you for your patience with the date changes but fingers crossed this time it will happen. Thanks Bill See more
