We had lots of fun dipping leaves, grass, sticks and tanbark into paint and creating different textures on the paper. Some funny friends appeared! You could use yellow and make a smiley face, you could use chocolate and make a spikey hedgehog , or pink and make a fluffy fairy... ... And it is going to be about "all fun and games" So this afternoon we have a "mini homemade domino set" We got inspired with some spring drawings (I got some "white cards" in some packaging today which we repurposed, texters and a ruler. But you could use stickers, or dots with finger painting, or holes with a hole puncher, etc, etc)... Have fun and keep it for those rainy spring days, just like today See more

13.01.2022 The sun is out, the playgrounds are open, and picnics in the park are allowed! Yay! We discovered Lipscombe Park in Croydon Hills and we love it! There is a playground (which is not huge, so easy to keep an eye in more than 1 child at the time ) and the swings on a separate spot. There are public restrooms, which were super clean (yesterday at least and good for those who are potty training at the moment )... There is a beautiful grassy oval to put picnic blankets out, with plenty of warm spring sun, but also with lots of shaded spots, as it is surrounded by giant gum trees. (The playground is very shaded, so a good park to keep in mind for the coming summer months ) Oh! And at the moment there is a big area covered in cute yellow flowers, perfect to make a little bouquet Last and not least... it is behind Mc Adam Square shops, so Mummy can grab a take away coffe, or stop by the green grocery to grab some fruit if we already run out at home Hope you get to visit! 03.01.2022 October is National Mental Health Month. It "is an initiative of the Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) to advocate for and raise awareness of Australian mental health. It is an important time where the Australian community comes together to raise awareness that #MentalHealthMatters." This has been a year far from normal and very challenging at the best of times. Parenting or caring for our children is a beautiful journey, which doesn't come without it's own difficult... and unexpected moments. These last 6 months we rode both rollercoasters at the same time and for some of us, it could left us exhausted. Just thought of sharing this here, to remind us to look after ourselves, allow some me time here and there, and hopefully start feeling positive and refreshed. 02.01.2022 And September is also a month for... Butterflies! Don't they always make us smile? Today we "smash" some cupcake patty pans. Then we fold them like "acordeons", we pinch them in the middle and we get two together with a "twisted" pipe cleaner. We open up the wings and we can glue them to icypole stick. Now we have a little puppet butterfly! Can you help it fly from flower to flower in your garden?
