22.01.2022 Hello Tennis Parents and Players As we are all aware, there is significant concern regarding the threat of COVID-19 in our community. A number of our members have asked if we are continuing operating over the coming weeks. The short answer is YES, our centres will remain open and we will continue serving you as long as it is recommended and safe for you and our employees. We are closely monitoring advice from Government at a Local, State and Federal level, and at this point,... we will continue to operate as normal. Tennis is in a unique position as a small group, non-contact, open-air sport, requiring minimal contact. Tennis Australia has provided us guidelines on how we should approach coaching, social tennis and leagues during this time to ensure our community remains safe. These guidelines are listed below. Government outdoor activity guidelines prohibit gatherings over 500 people; all our programs are well below this level. The following programs remain operating: Junior & adult coaching at TennisGear Centres Before & after lessons at schools Private lessons Social tennis & leagues Court hire & casual bookings Pro-shop (retail, restrings & cafe) We understand this is a stressful time for our community, though we also have great confidence in the management of our business that together we can mitigate the risk of this terrible virus when and wherever possible. We want to provide every reassurance that extra vigilance is being applied to hygiene standards across our centres, including: Ensuring thorough hand washing protocols are correctly followed Increased frequency of our regular and proper cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces and high touch areas with anti-microbial sanitising solution Placement of sanitiser throughout our centres Employees showing any signs of illness be excluded from the workplace Were asking all members to take part in a heightened awareness of personal hygiene. Please: Do not attend the centre if you are sick or been in close contact with someone sick Make full use of the soap and sanitisers available around the venue Use Pay Wave facilities if possible Our thoughts go out to those who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the tireless work that healthcare professionals, the local community and our Government are doing to contain COVID-19. We are doing what we can to contribute to this effort and ensuring the safety of everyone. Please support your friends and neighbours, look out for each other and stay safe. We are all in this together. If you require additional information or have questions please do not hesitate to contact our office.
