10.02.2022 Caught my first swarm for 2021. Looks like a early swarm season. Don't forget to check your hives and take swarm prevention steps. Our spring management course has been postponed until after covid lockdown, but you can still start by harvesting honey and expanding the brood nest.

16.01.2022 Upcoming Spring & Swarm Management course: This coming Saturday 15 August will be the one and only Spring & Swarm Management course to be run this year and we still have a number of spots available. If you have had your bees for a year or two and have completed the Beginners Beekeeping then this one day course will give you the tools to manage your bees for swarm prevention, it will also delve into splitting your bees and catching swarms. 16.01.2022 A reminder to all our members and anyone thinking of attending Wednesday's Night Meeting that it has been cancelled in accordance with the local councils direction. Apologies, we hope to back to normal in the not too distant future.

15.01.2022 The North Shore beekeepers are running their last Beginners Beekeeping Course for the year that specifically caters for Flow hive and Langstroth hives. It is held over two consecutive Saturdays allowing for lots of individual hands-on in the hives. Dates are 7th and 14th Nov 9am to 4:30pm in the Terrey Hills Apiary just north of Sydney. 08.01.2022 We are having a open day this Sunday at the Bee club in Terrey Hills. Entry is via the Par3 gates. Please don't park along the driveway. We will be opening hives and inspecting the brood.
