20.01.2022 CELEBRATION OF EDUCATION PIONEER Joseph Dalton built three major Australian schools in three years. To celebrate his legacy, students from St Aloysius College, Milson's Point, recently joined other young men from Xavier College in Melbourne, and St Ignatius' College, Riverview. The group of staff and students celebrated the 150th anniversary of the arrival of their extraordinary founder, Fr Joseph Dalton, at Gore Hill Cemetery in St Leonards.... 18.01.2022 LAST DRINKS FOR ALBERT'S BAR After decades in Mount Street, Albert's Bar and Tavern called "last drinks" for the final time.... The much loved watering hole is being demolished for residential development. The party will continue across the road at Terrace Bar, which is managed by the same group. Alberts was a packed venue on the 'Thursday Night Greenwood' trail. The staff consisted mostly of nearby Shore School graduates and had a dedicated group of tight knit patrons. The building also used to house Joe Hockey's electoral office. A free party was thrown today, to farewell the building.
