14.01.2022 COVID19 Response. All Northwest Music Lessons are currently being conducted online via ZOOM meetings. Lessons will remain online for the foreseeable future. We are still assessing options moving forward, taking into consideration government restrictions, social distancing requirement etc. and everyones health.... We thank all parents and students for their perseverance with the new method of receiving their weekly lesson. It has certainly been a huge learning Kerb for all. 07.01.2022 Studio starting to take shape.

04.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ COVID 19 RESPONSE - 25 June 2020 Once again we would like to thank everybody for supporting students to continue to attend lessons and practising their musical skills during this pandemic.... Due to the ongoing pandemic, government restrictions and conditions that our business is required to adhere to, until there is a vaccine. Northwest Music will be unable to conduct lessons from the Stanhope Studio. We have decided to move out from Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope. Lessons will continue to be offered and conducted online until further notice! 9 Reasons listed below: 1. Health and Safety of all Parents, Students and Teacher. 2. The room when empty can accommodate up to FIVE people, but the 1.5 m per person rule must be adhered to. 4. Equipment required to teach groups within the room reduces the available space to follow 1.5 m per person rule. 5. Group Lessons pre COVID19 saw up to SIX students plus ONE teacher in the room. 6. As a teacher I will not be able to sit or stand beside the students, this limits my ability to see hands and finger positioning effecting. 7. Singing is not aloud due to the potential spread of the virus. Wind instruments are discouraged due to potential spread of virus. 8. Room and all equipment would be required to be cleaned and sanitised before and after every class. This would reduce lesson times. 9. Should a COVID19 case be traced back to the any area of the Blacktown Leisure Centre, we would all be asked to be tested and be required to self-isolate. Lessons would then need to return to online. Advantages of Online Lessons: 1. Safety and comfort of your own home 2. Playing on your own instrument. 3. No traffic and parking issues 4. More hands on your instrument during class 5. Greater visibility of teachers hands and fingers during demonstrations 6. Lesson may be recorded with written permission from all participants We would like thank everyone for their understanding during this period. Yes, Online lessons are different to physical lessons with a teacher in the classroom but we believe students can still receive the same instruction if not in many cases greater value from online classes. We will be sending tips on how you may improve the Online Lesson experience over the next few weeks. Yours Sincerely, Tim Kessel Northwest Music
