22.01.2022 We could not be more proud of our Musical Director James Brice, for receiving a Life Membership of the NSW Band Association. James, your dedication to your craft over countless years is a testament to your hard work and passion for music. You tirelessly grow and encourage musicians, both young and old, to bring out the best in them all. Our world of Community banding would not where it is today without the likes of you! Bravo James, here's to many more years of enjoying playing music with you!

02.01.2022 These days, ANZAC Day holds even more significance for our band as we remember our founding musical director, Mike Butcher OAM. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 5 years today since we said goodbye to Mike. ANZAC Day always held such a special place for him, and he used to take great pride in marching down George St with the sea of resplendent sky blue behind him. He would have been thrilled today to see so many young (& not so young) musicians across the country pulling out their instruments and sounding the Last Post & Reveille from their driveways. We’re sure he’d have done the same out the front of his own house. Thanks Mike, forever in our band’s fabric.

02.01.2022 For our second project in isolation, 28 members of the North West Wind Ensemble and Musical Director James Brice, are excited to bring you this spirited performance of Percy Grainger’s ‘Shepherds Hey’, as recorded from our homes and studios throughout April and May 2020. We hope you ENJOY this as much as we have in preparing this rendition! Special thanks to Bob Wheatley from Stolen Planet Productions and Tristan Baker of BAM Studios for their audio and video editing assistance.
