19.01.2022 I was lucky enough to see this amazing women speak many years ago in Sydney with my sister in law and mother. Dr Catherine made a lasting impression on me... what a women, what a story! Catherine and her late husband, devoted their life to helping women who suffered from fistulas during long labours in Ethiopia. Her enormous heart, giving soul and strength are worth reading about in her autobiography The hospital by the river. Rest In Peace Dr Catherine, you really are a saint xx

He will be available to provide Massage Therapy services at our North Wollongong Physio premises for either 30 or 60 min sessions, with appointments available on Tuesday afternoons, Thursday mornings and every 2nd Friday arvo. The clean-cut and charismatic Ethan Miles will be filling in for Anne-Marie while she enjoys her parental leave and refreshes her long-forgotten skills in newborn baby management! Ethan has years of experience in both hospital and private practice physio, working with many different age groups and abilities. He ha...s a particular interest in junior athletes, sporting injuries, injury prevention, load management and education. He had completed post-graduate courses in Level 1 Specific Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA); Level 1 Functional Movement Screen (FMS); Level 1 Sports Physiotherapy; Musculoskeletal and Segmental Dry Needling; Assessment and Treatment of Cervical/Thoracic Spine and Ribs (Trish Wisbey-Roth); and Stability, Mobility and Motor Control (Greg Dea). 05.01.2022 Client appreciation post: Meet 11 year old Jack Jack has a condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth which affects the nerves in his legs and feet causing muscle weakness, tightening and movement difficulties. Jack has been working hard with @emiles16 in the clinic to maintain movement, strength and control and 2 weeks ago, Jack competed in his first ever televised national swimming titles in the gold coast. Jack came away with a strong PB and a silver medal in the 100m backstroke... and a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke. A week before this, Jack competed at the NSW primary school state championships where he came away with gold and NSW records in the 100m free and 50m backstroke and another gold in the 50m free! So proud of Jack and his incredible resilience, determination and drive and can’t wait to see what else this legend will achieve! . . . #northwollongongphysio #northgongphysio @swimmingaustralia #nationalsgoldcoast #multiclassswimmers
