24.01.2022 RAINY DAY ACTIVITIES Like me you are probably sat inside watching the crazy amounts of rain hitting Sydney and thinking ‘ahh, I really don’t want to walk my dog today’. Yeah, sorry Dukey but me neither So I thought I would share some fun ideas of things you can do over the next couple of days to keep your dog happy and fulfilled until the sun decides to peak it’s head out.... Here are my best games for rainy days: 1. PLAY If your not getting out and walking your dog it’s quite likely they will have some energy to spare. Not only is play a great physical outlet but it’s also great bonding time for you and your dog. So play some hide and seek with the family or get out their favourite tug toy for a game in the lounge. I promise your dog will love you for it! 2. SCENT GAMES We all know dogs strongest sense is their nose and boy do they love to use it. Try setting up a little treasure hunt around the home or hiding their favourite toy and seeing if they can find it. If you haven’t done any scent games before make sure to start off really easy so they don’t get discouraged 3. ENRICHMENT Enrichment toys are such a fab way to keep our dogs having fun and mentally stimulated. Make up a kong or a lickimat with their favourite food or get inventive and hide some in cardboard bags and boxes. Please supervise to make sure they don’t eat anything they shouldn’t 4. TEACH A NEW TRICK YouTube is your best friend on days like today. There are so many great videos on fun tricks to teach your dog. Some of my favourites are bow, leg weaves and nose targets. Have a browse and see what their next party trick can be. Not only will this physically AND mentally tire your dog but its fun and will also improve your communication skills as a pair. It’s a win win!

15.01.2022 Here’s a super easy enrichment idea to spice up your dogs dinner time. Grab a box from your recycling and pop in a big handful of your dogs dinner. Close it up and voila! This kept Duke entertained for a good 15minutes, encouraged him to use his brain to problem solve and now he’s pooped

14.01.2022 Those ears absolutely deserve a place on the feed so much fun doing recall training with Cooper in the park today. He absolutely loves other dogs so we are working on becoming the absolute best thing in his world using lots of food and toy play
