22.01.2022 Tip number 1. I know it sounds obvious but sort out your budget and don't be scared to to tell any builders that you'd like to deal with. It's the easiest way to save time during the concept stage.

07.01.2022 Hello Everyone, I've decided, as an experiment, to change the way I run this Facebook page. Up until now I've shared a few links, posted some house and land packages and even tried to run a survey. It seems to me that it hasn't been very helpful to anyone.... What I'm proposing, is that I will run this page as a resource for anyone who is thinking about or going through the building process and would like some independent and unbiased advice. In my experience, the process of building your own home is exciting and rewarding. Sometimes, whether by fault of yourself or the fault of the builder, your expectations are not matched by the result. My aim here is not to make you feel good or bad but to be as honest as I can, Sometimes this might mean telling you that you're in the wrong. I do not want nor expect any direct benefit out of doing this but what I will get is a better understanding of the general problems, concerns and considerations that you have when it comes to building your own home. I firstly would like to get an idea of how much interest there is for something like this, so please share this with anybody that you think could profit from some advice from someone who has experience in most aspects of the building process.
