25.01.2022 SHOCKED. SAD. MOTHER WIT - The Berry Saga Dear Friends,... This is shocking. Someone must be very hurt and vengeful or greed powered to undertake this exercise with the aim to cause harm in so many ways. . Its also very very sad because so much precious food is wasted...and shall continue to be so as the saga unfold further. More of a concern is that our dear farmer friends shall be the main victim of this despicable situation. .. perhaps some small operators shall go under fairly soon... . Truly find it hard to know as to which way, we, as bystanders/consumers, should adopt to help solve this conundrum ??! Ok lets stay calm, but do something! . Grocery store owners - you have made money from these suppliers all this time... please continue to support them....put a sign up to say cumers beware... stock metal detectors next to the strawberry . Consumers- thats us! Go to Dick Smith and buy a metal detector and scan each strawberry before we eat. Seriously!! We must do something as a community to protect this stupid situation. If its not so dire lets find ways to solve the situation like suggested above (as nothing else has been detected). Let us ensure peoples livelihood is not damaged by this act of sabotage!! Let us use mother wit to overcome senseless act. Talking about Dick Smith... why did we do or did not do for it to be no longer around... . Sorry we got to go... first to Bunnings to purchase a metal detector... Second off to the fruit store and purchase 5 punnets... We shall eat pinnets not detected... and throw out ones detected rather than asking for money back. But will tell authorities to help them solve the crime!! . . . Ps. 15.01.2022 THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEART BEAUTIFUL PATRONS OF NQ for your support over the last nine years at 315. However, we would like to dedicate this post to a special couple. Lisa and Andrew - a really loving couple - who have been visiting our humble eating abode on virtually weekly basis for the last five (5) years eating basically the same menu (with only about 30% change on our part). Lisa likes clean eating and Andrew likes everything sexy of course... Over the las...t two years, we have been honoured being allowed to be playful. Letting us making special soups with tastiness and herbs galore, with no commercial stock usage and using dates instead of sugar in the soups. Lisa always like to have fresh ginger tea to start proceedings, and our sexy Oil would try to have it ready made for her when she comes - to us, we have been wanting for this trend to be becoming with many regular patrons... And when the correct platform is set, healthy dialogues take precedence. Thank you Lisa & Andrew. 06.01.2022 Taken just before a patron picked up the whole cake. The pleasure of fruit and vegetables intertwined in sexiness. In our nourishing endeavour its the Luffa- the same thing that you do things with it in the shower, like exfoliating! Didnt know its edible? Well the Vietnamese, Chinese, Indians and Africans have been eating it all their lives. They just didnt know others were doing things with it in the shower!! Friends, when we are young and beautiful and feeling invincible.... ..Well, time then becomes enemy no. one. Some, befriended it and become graceful. Others, may find it really hard to face this reality and become yes a Great Pretender...nostalgic, and feeling real sorry for oneself! Well the Luffa doesnt give us eternal youth but it does help with eczema and IBS. ..good to know huh! We have put it in the middle layer along with the cashew nuts. After nine years here at Cleveland Street, NQ is looking to move into other directions.... These include concentrating on catering (please spread the word to your families, friends and work colleagues), markets around Sydney such as the Sydney Vegan market and collaborating with local cafes to maximise the use of their premises with NQ Pop-up dinners. As a result, NQ will shortly be operating from other premises. Keep a lookout on their website about their next moves - corporate box catering, market days and pop-up dinners. 02.01.2022 Deep in meditation - this what you need to do NOT to feel angst... got a tradie friend who put a clear on this beautiful floor in anticipation of keeping it clean all year round...What happened since the beginning of this year was that whatever we did, we just couldnt keep it clean and it has this constant dirty look... So on most Sundays people tend to meditate, go to the movies, relax or make loving morsels...the latter Team NQ normally does. But, oh no not this Sunday......that patch you can see there took us 35 minutes for 1/2 square metre, with the water pressure gun...could have used acid to get it out in 20 minutes...and see it flush down Sydney water ways and into our beautiful Sydney harbour?!...very tempted. ..but had to think about the next Gen. You are all welcome to come in and say hello and grab the gun and consume half an hour of blasting away this damn film- Its very therapeutic folks - meditation in action! If you coulnt come down thats fine!..but stay nourished dear friends... The beautiful people of Sydney. PASSAGE TO INDIA- a nourishing curry of pumpkin, chick peas and peas thickened with amaranth paste and NOT of the usual processed corn flour! A recipe obtained from the Min Dynasty past down the generations from India to Vietnam, to windy Wellington then flown over to beautiful Sydney. The natural sweet taste of Pumpkin and dates together with the warming spices make this dish original and oozing nouri...shment - imagine roasted coriander, black and green cardamon, cloves, star aniseed, secret ingredients and most importantly love. The carbs are brown rice with smidgen of black quinoa infused with lemongrass & turmeric. Served with a side of fresh mixed salad with orange flavoured vinegrette make the dish not just wholesome but sexy!!
